Am I the only one who thinks these are stupid and pointless? Or am I completely missing something? I have a few fb friends that jump on to every chain status bandwagon rolling by but between these and fan updates, I couldn't care less. If it weren't for the fact that I am interested in the real posts, I'd take out 1/3 of my friend list.
Re: FB chain statuses
^This.
I've been feeling for quite a while that FB has jumped the proverbial shark. While I'm ever so thankful for the hide application feature, I wish I FB would auto-hide people who say something stupid about politics, post chain statuses, tell me they just sneezed, or post a lot of TMI.

I agree... its become one big chain email that annoys the crap out of me in most cases. I think there should be an age limit on fb too. My 7 yo cousin shouldnt be on fb. The fact that she is is likely a result of bad parenting but still. Seems like the younger the fb user is the more annoying they are with all the games/applications/fan pages crap.

Leigha, are you judging? This is what I love most about Facebook!!
agreed. was so tempted to join this one, bc i am even MORE anti-Nickelback than i am anti-pointless facebook groups.
I dont use FB that much anymore bc i feel like it has become a forum for stay-at-home moms to give constant updates about their headaches, kid doctor appointments, and their progress on their farmville farms.
I forgot to add that I like to stalk my exes too Leigha
I'm in Keb's boat! Seriously the only reason I use facebook... mostly
I'd also like to add that not only is it true that the younger you are, the more ridiculous your FB is, but this holds true the other way. The older you are, the more ridiculous your facebook is. And the worst thing is that older adults don't really understand written humor/sarcasm. It makes for some thread killers.
I think it was perfect at college kids and young professionals.
Or the page long quotes and spiritual messages. We get it, you feel blessed you can see the sky. Now step away from the computer to go enjoy it or I'll scream.
Haha... I have a few people like this in my friend list too -- most of them are now on ignore.
I also hate Picnik (sp?) pictures all over fb. Just because Picnik gives you the ability to write in neon letters all over your pictures doesnt mean you should do so. Nor should you frame every single picture with some glowing colored frame. Some of my friends havent really moved on since they were 13 evidently.
