Any spare dust?

Our kitty has been sick since Tuesday but really went down on Wednesday.  We gave him his IV fluids that we usually give him when he bottoms out like this and it looked like he was getting better within a few hours of us giving it to him.  Then yesterday we got home and he was back to being lathargic.  He hasn't eaten or been drinking (at least as much as he usually does anyway) so we gave him another round of IV fluids.  After giving him the fluids last night, he wasn't as active as he was after the fluids Wed night and has just been curling up in the bed.  Not interested in food or water again.  DH is on his way to try and see if he get some food down his throat via syringe and then he's taking him to the vet at 4:00.  I won't be able to go because I'll be volunteering at an event.  So I know how powerful nestie dust can be so thought I'd see if ya'll had any extra to spare.  Thanks.

Yes.  We were told he had renal failure back in 2004? and were told to give him fluids every day.  Since we just couldn't torture the poor guy like that we only do it when he gets like this and we've never had to do it on back to back days like this in the past.

Just heard from DH and he said that he didn't have to force him to eat the wet stuff.  Kitty didn't want to get out of bed so DH took it to him.  He ate about 3 spoonfuls of the stuff and he said he drank some water this am.  So hopefully, this is a good sign.  I guess our next concern is if he's going to the bathroom enough because if he's not, the toxins are just building up in his kidneys and I really have no clue what we can do if that's the case.

  • poor baby!

that's a long time since the diagnosis- you've got a fighter :)  I hope the vet visit brings you good news!
