Work-related: what would you like to do?
Name one realistic job and one crazy dream job you'd love to do.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: Work-related: what would you like to do?
Realistic: Well-paying business development role for a private equity firm.
Dream: Professional beach volleyball player
Realistic- I'm pretty much doing it.
Dream- victim support specialist and investigator/evidence collector for dogfighting with the FBI. Or maybe sexual predator busts with ICE.
Realistic--I am also pretty much doing what I would like to do. Consultant in affordable housing development.
Dream--run a big bed and breakfast in Coastal Maine with my parents and my husband! My dream would just be to cook and garden with my family in a gorgeous old home. Sigh.....
I love my current job. I do research in an academic setting and find it really rewarding. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
However... as a crazy dream job I would love to bake professionally. If I lived in a state with more flexible at home bakery laws I would probably do it. I'm just not sure if it would be worth going through all of the permitting to do it here in MA. A lot of times I think about getting a part time job working at a bakery, but I don't know if I could handle the early hours. It's easier to just bake at home and give things to my family/friends/coworkers.
Realistic - I love what I do.
Dream - SAHM. My dream would be having the money to SAH, and not having the guilt of leaving the company.
Reality: I love being a concierge.
Dream Job (and something I've wanted to do since I was a little kid): Dolphin trainer or marine biologist.
I even thought about going to school for marine biology but my dad went to school for oceanography and told me that to do that kind of study, you would have to be out at sea for months at a time. I think there's a program at URI that takes students out when the whales are migrating. That would be awesome.
Realistic: I would love to be one of those high paid wedding planners. I love weddings.
Dream: I would love to be someone who was super rich and traveled around and helped charities and good causes. Kinda like a first lady or princess hahahah.
Realistic: School social worker OR counselor at college counseling services
dream job: FBI profiler or start up own non-profit that teaches girls about healthy relationships
me and H have also talked about starting a bed and breakfast. My Dh is a chef, so he would like this.
Realistic: What I am doing....pastry chef. Just wish the money was better....a lot better :-/
Dream: be a big time wedding planner or to own my own orchard with gourmet shop (pastry, cheese, and wine)
Real - 1st grade teacher.
Dream - Port consultant for Royal Caribbean....
Real: A teacher when my kids are in school, and a SAHM when they are not. If we can sell our house soon, I can continue to stay at home and work on my teaching degree...
Dream: I'm not gonna lie- be a rock star! I used to sing when I was younger, and I was actually really good at it. I did showcases for my chorus, and always did our talent show, which was more like a concert done by kids- you had to audition, and I've even done solos, a cappella, in front of thousands of people- and there is nothing more thrilling. Realistically, a family is more important to me, but it sure would be fun!!
I think that would be so cool! I used to sing in high school and college. Was never super super good at it, but I could hold a tune. I've thought about joining community singers just to be able to sing again!
