Olympics Poll
I LOVE watching the Olympics! SOOOO excited to see the opening games this eve w the boys (SD not going to be w us)...
So, here's a question or two...
1. What is/are your fav Olympic event(s) to watch?
2. Are there any that completely annoy you?
3. Any event you wish you could try once?

I am sooooooo not into the olymipcs.
If I am flipping through the channels and the gymnastics or ice skating is on, I will pause and watch, but I dont seek it out or anything.
As far as any even I would like to try...I bet bobsledding would be hella fun!
1. Figure skating and snowboarding.
2. I'm not a fan of ice dancing.
3. I wish I was a good enough snowboarder to attempt the half pipe.

1. I love to watch curling, ice skating... ok, prob everything they do-the moguls make me tired, though.
2. Annoying-sometimes the commentators-or that it's on all hours of the day... prob the speed skaters, though-how do they find clothes that fit those humongous, muscular legs is beyond me!
3. I tried out for the US Women's Bobsled Team back in... '98, I think. Not anything big. I obviously didn't make it, but I can say I tried out, right?!

1. I love speed skating and ski jumping.
2. Not a winter sport but I do hate sychronized swimming.
3. I would love to be able to speed skate it look likes a complete workout and very fun!
This, most people can't even say that they tried out!
Funny story (which I might have said before)... a GF and I went to Seaside Heights, NJ (Where that crazy MTV show was from) and she wanted to get her palm read-which kinda freaks me out, but whatever. So, I saw there was a tryout for the Women's bobsled team. You had to push the bobsled about 20 feet and jump in it. it was timed. Hard to do in flip flops, but again... I can say I did it-which is kinda neat.
Forgot about ice dancing! Reminds me of that goofy movie...
Like most others, I love figure skating and gymnastics.
Lorelai, when you mentioned the commentators, a rage built inside of me. They annoy me so much!! I hate how they critique every little thing. I mean I know it's their job, but it still annoys me. I always think...like you could even do 1/2 of that they're doing -- @ss!
I love figure skating. I've told DH in the past, I wish I could have gotten into it young and competed. I've had a few skaters/trainers tell me I have a natural talent at iced skating. I also took dance and acrobatics for 7 years, so I would love to do the gymnastics, mainly the vault. I think it'd be a major rush.
Btw, Lorelai, that's so cool you tried out for the bobsled team!

And Sheri, when the xgames were in Phill (99) my BFF and I were xgame hostesses. I really need to scan apic of it. We had to wear these half top tanks , lol.
