anyone do this before?! LOL, or am I nuts for trying?! It looks so easy on the shows....
I found a set of chairs at the thrift store for $20 together, they have a nice shape are in decent enough condition but I need to put new fabric on them, so I'm attempting! I got the trim off, but the fabric is on there pretty tightly! And I'm supposed to make the pattern out of it! Should I just cut it close to the staples and add on an inch to the pattern?
Anyone try this? haha
I promise to document! I have to stain the arms first then put on the fabric!

Re: re-upholstering chairs?
p.s. it's really dusty and isabelle ran off with a piece of the fabric YUCK. I got it away from her (thank GOD for leave it!).
I promise to continue updating...david is going to hate hate hate hate me for starting a project like this!! Plan is to get it done this weekend!!
I think it is great that you are attempting to recover them yourself. Hiring someone to do it can be SUPER expensive, so you are most probably saving a ton of money.
I can't wait to see how they turn out. Be sure to take pictures throughout the project to post here. Good luck, Kara!
