Did you guys hear about the guy who crashed in training and later died? So sad.

At that speed I am not sure if padded would have helped much. However DH and I were discussing the possibility a net or a foam barrier (similar to what they use at racetracks).
Yes, very sad. Here's an opinion piece I saw earlier about what the IOC should have done to prevent something like this. I wonder what will end up happening (if they'll still have the luge events after the investigation is finished).
