I need help. We just bought a great new leather sofa set. Clearance at Lacks...originally $12k, we got it for 3!

Anyways, the color is like a very deep chesnut. Do people put throw pillows on leather sofas? I love pillows, but I can't decide what would look right. Our tables and things are all oak colored if that helps. Wall color is the typical builder tan.

I'm also wanting a new rug. The one we have is just beige.

Any ideas?

Do you have a picture or link? I don't know that I would do throw pillows on a leather couch. We got a rug for a good price from Lowes.

I definitely have throw pillows on my leather couches, they soften the look. I would do a few cream/ beige in different textures and a few accent colors. I would love to see pics, though!

Yea for fun new furniture. Both our parents have leather couches and they all have several throw pillows. Way cozier, plus you just need 'em to lay down comfortably, imo. Have fun!

We have pillows on our leather sofa and chair. It provides a pop of color and it makes the sofa more comfortable. It sounds like you need color that isn't in the beige/brown family, and a rug and pillows are a great way to do that.

What is this Polyvore website? Looks awesome. How does it work?

You create an account, then you can bring in pictures of clothes, shoes, ... or for decorating pictures of furniture accessories, ... and basically create your own mood board.

Yes, you can use throw pillows. ?It sounds like your room can use some color, and with all the neutrals, you could probably go with whatever color you like best. ?You can pull a color (or combination of colors) from your artwork, a rug, etc. ?
