Olympics - Who's watching?
Who is going to watch the opening ceremonies tonight? What is your favorite winter/summer event?

Re: Olympics - Who's watching?
I'm watching, although I don't think they will be as good as the Beijing ceremony.
My winter favorite is ice skating. The costumes are sooo pretty! My summer favorite is either high dive or gymnastics. Those men and women can do some amazing things with their bodies! lol

I'm watching but I'm pretty underwhelmed by it. It's so so tragic about the ice luger, though. They showed the video
Favorite summer event is floor gymnastics. I don't really have a favorite winter event, maybe figure or speed skating if I had to pick.

For some reason, I never really thought of the winter olympics as "real" olympics....maybe because I really like a lot of the summer sports. DH and I watched some of the opening ceremony, and I was so excited to see that Armenia has 4 athletes (I'm part Armenian), especially because the country is a little bit smaller than maryland haha.
My favorite summer sport is by far swimming. I have been involved with competetive swimming for 15 years, and started swimming in races when I was 5, so it's been a huge part of my life. DH and I are actually planning on going to the 2012 olympics in london!
No way! That's so awesome!
