Vancouver girls
What did they end up doing with the downtown Eastside? I couldn't help but wonder this watching the torch make it's way down (the nicer part of) Hastings... the tourists are awfully close to the "real" action...

Yeah I was wondering the same thing.
Supposedly they've done nothing on the DTES (or very little). DH worked down there up until 2 weeks ago and said it was the same as always.
I hope not too many tourists wander down West Hastings too far. They would be in for a surprise.
