Dear DH:

Please do not expect me to baby your grown azz just because you have a cold.  Please get OFF THE COUCH and stop complaining about how your nose hurts and your throat hurts.  If you need a mommy, MIL is about 5 minutes away and I'm sure she'd LOVE to make you some soup, kiss your forehead, and tuck you in.  I have a cold 50% of the time because I work in germ filled hell.  I have no sympathy for you.

Actual comment: "I'm just upset because I don't feel that good and you just don't care."

My reponse was: "I was upset when I had 20 stitches in my vag and you just didn't care."

(For the record, he wasn't that bad after I had the baby, he just didn't get that moving around hurt a lot).

Why do men act like this??!?!

Re: Dear DH:

  • I ask myself the same thing every time D is "sick".  IT DRIVES ME INSANE!!!!!
  • I can so relate. DH is "dying" right now because he is so sure his back is going out. The pain is so bad he can't get up to get himself something to eat or drink. Every move brings out whines and cries...except he can still play his ps3 games without a problem.

  • Men are such babies.  I think the Y chromosome is a birth defect that causes them to act this way.

    I wholeheartedly agree!

DH was sore from shoveling.  Fine, I was too.  HOWEVER, he felt the need to wince and exhale sharply and make "ah, ow, ee" noises anytime.he.moved.  Drove me insane.  He's such a baby when it comes to being sick or sore.  Is it bad that usually I ignore it so as not to encourage the behavior?

    BWHAHAHAHAH!  *wipes away tears*

  • I'm glad that my DH isn't alone in his need to be babied.  I'm just picturing a 30 year old Hunter b!tching to his future wife about how his mommy always babied him when he had a cold...
