crap.

my friend at work, aka my sanity. just got a phone call for an interview at a place she didn't even apply... she put her resume on monster and the lady called and wants to meet w/ her at 2. shiz. i'm going to really lose it if she leaves. i mean i'm really happy for her- she nearly got fired last week bc she told our ofc mgr what she realy thought about her. lol. It's closer to her house, and i'm sure the hours are better, and the benefits are better if they offer any at all. but dang. i'm sad.

Re: crap.

  • That's tough. I hope everything works out the "best" - whatever the best may be!

  • I would also like to know what the *best* is. She got the job, and as of yesterday she was only going to give a week notice. I guess she is planning on telling them Monday that Friday is her last day. It's just seems wrong to me, but that's just me. I have a ridiculous amount of dedication to my job for some reason.

On a more positive note. Today was the best day I've had at work in a really long time. I worked open - close. (830a - 7p).  Even though it was a 10.5hr day it went by SOOO fast, i mean wow, fast. It was just me and the new receptionist. She is really nice & we get along really well, we have the same smart @ss personality so it makes it fun, and the time went ridiculously fast. We were SO busy, so we stayed busy all day , i would love my job if every day could be like today Yes .. unfortunatly things are a lot calmer when my ofc mgr is not around.

  • Regardless of whether you love or hate your job, I think a 2 week notice is ALWAYS in order. Hopefully you can convince her of that, as it never is good to leave on poor terms. I'm SUPER GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU GET ALONG WELL WITH THE NEW RECEPTIONIST. Hopefully she sticks around for awhile and your days go by quick and busy!
