Looking for summer vacation rental
I've googled and only found pricey, high-end houses and hotels to rent.
We'd like to do a simple family vacation in August. Just me, DH and DD (2 1/2). Looking for a simple cabin/camp with electricity, kitchen and water front access with shade and swimming. The place can be simple, I just don't want to travel too far with a 2 year old for swimming.
Anyone have the inside track on an online local rental site where locals post to find renters?
My darling daughter just turned 4 years old.

We rented on the Fingerlakes last summer and it was awesome! I recommend this website to check out.

The only issue we had was the weather. It just did not cooperate. However, there were wineries around, and boat rental places just down the road.
We rent on Black Lake every year, which is up near 1000 Islands. It's beautiful up there, very relaxing and very close to Alexandria Bay.

We are located in Central New York and looking all over for a new vacation spot.
We've had a great time in PA, NY and NH. We've gone to Cape Cod for a few summers and it's too far this year. Just looking for a recommendation or a website to check.
