We're pretty low-key no fuss Valentine's people. We exchanged our first ever husband and wife cards, and he got me two red roses and cookies, and I made him a double layer chocolate cake, plus we're having his favorite meal: grilled cheese and tomato soup.
How were your first V-Days as wives?

Re: Valentine's Day (PIP)
Aww cute... and good work on the cake. It looks great.
DH and I exchanged cards/gifts last weekend and had a romantic dinner last Saturday. Since our plans fell through this weekend, we just had a nice weekend at home. Friday night I made us fondue for dinner and we had a few glasses of wine and rented a couple movies, yesterday we went to see Valentine's Day and shopped for a couple of hours (he didnt even complain) and this morning we went to brunch at a local place I've always wanted to go. I made us some strawberry cupcakes and tonight we are having enchiladas which are DHs favorite. All in all a great Valentine's weekend (sort of times 2).

So far, so good
I came home last night to find my gift (new workout/training gear for the 3-Day) and a very, very, very sweet card.
Today we went to the first showing of Valentine's Day and then went to lunch at a little local Greek place (where we decided to go super sappy and ordered the "Valentine's Day Special 4-Course Meal").
Our "big" celebration is this coming Friday/Saturday -- we're going to Disneyland and got reservations at Blue Bayou (the restaurant that's part of the Pirates of the Carribean ride). This is a BIG deal for me because we've tried to get in to eat at Blue Bayou (once the day we got engaged; once on our honeymoon) but they're always PACKED. So we're very happy to finally be going one night. We're also hoping to get a room at one of the Disney hotels that night so we can get dressed up for the dinner (but not be in "nice clothes" all day at the park).
All in all, an awesome Valentine's Day (today and planned).
hawki, 2 celebrations? Lucky duck! Sounds like a fab weekend! So happy our resident food maven likes my cake!! DH came home a few minutes ago and his eyes lit up when he saw the cake!

Jason has had to work all weekend, but I had his gift all set up when he got home this morning. I got him a giant box of Reese stuff (regular Reese cups, giant Reese cups, Reese Pieces, and Fast Breaks), and I ordered him a Wii firefighting game, and his card. He woke me up when he got home with a really sweet card, and a Wii game. No, we didn't plan to get each other Wii games, but it worked out. His game didn't make it in time, but I drew my own cover and put it in an empty DVD case. It was funny.
We didn't go out to dinner by ourselves, but we did go to my Nana's birthday party a great local restaurant and dinner was awesome!
