Re: Weekend Updates!
~~~MARRIED BIO~~~
Weekend was good. Finally not snowed in!!
Friday night we went to a fundraiser for the little league organization that Steve started coaching with. He doesn't coach with them anymore, but we still support them
Saturday - I had a lazy morning and loved it
I did some packing in the afternoon-ish and then we went out Saturday night to buffalo wild wings. That ended up being kind of boring so we ate and then took off to another local bar. After closing we headed home and watched some Olympics that we had Tivo'd.
Sunday - another lazy-ish morning. Steve made me breakfast and we did our cards/gifts in the morning. I went to my parents to pick up Buddy and hear about their vacation. We looked at ALL of their photos and with 2 cameras there ended up being almost 1500 pictures. After that Buddy and I headed home and he got a bath then it was nap time! Steve and I went out to dinner to this Italian restaurant by the house, little hole in the wall type place, really good and since it's not a chain there wasn't a wait
After that we went home hung out on the couch watching the Olympics
Friday - um no idea what i did
Saturday - Went to hang out with my nieces for a little while, cleaned the house, watched Avatar with Serg...(we have a super secret dvd copy from someone we know..and no, not bootleg)
Sunday - dinner at the IL's (i feel like we eat there more now then we did when we lived there lol)
it was a great weekend...
friday night, we just stayed in and hung out.
saturday, we had a lazy morning, then i went and had a facial and then met up with some girlfriends for lunch and a little shopping... it was the most beautiful day outside! came home and cleaned up the living room a little bit, then zach came home and we went to dinner at a fun hole-in-the-wall mexican restaurant. came home and watched never been kissed.
sunday, zach got up and decided we were going to just enjoy each other's company instead of going to church. so we watched movies and TV until mid-afternoon. we went to the grocery store and came home and zach made dinner (see post below) while i cleaned the bedroom and made it romantic with candles.
then i took a shower and got ready for dinner. zach took a shower and then we ate dinner.. he gave me the sweetest love coupon book, good for things like candlelight dinners, neck and shoulder rubs, picnics, venting sessions, etc. and a sweet plaque with the pooh quote on it about not wanting to live one day without me. his card was really sweet too. i cried. seriously. we ended the night with some intimate time, and the whole day was pretty amazing.
with all that we've been through in the last few months, it was a breath of fresh air to celebrate our love and our marriage like that. we got engaged 2 years ago yesterday, so that was cool.
oh yeah!! in his card, zach signed it, "Your DH"... buhahahahaha
Sat- food shopping, went to tj's wrestling tournament, visited my gram, then made tj his fav cookies for vday. That night we went to our local bar.
sun-ran some errands then relaxed for the evening!
Fri: worked and stayed overnight in case the roads iced
Sat: worked and went to our annual Wild About Chocolate event to benefit the Center. LOTS of Chocolate and had some wine and hung out w/ my volunteers and coworkers and DH (he was, um, home sick, from work, um, yeah)
Sund: NOTHING!! It was wonderful.
Today we're driving to Indiana staying overnight and picking up frozen rodents and driving back to AL.
Friday- went to a local bar with another couple
Saturday- Dave and FL instaled our new kitchen floor
Sunday- went to home depot to return extra flooring and then clean and organized the basement storage room
Fri- BIL got his keys for his new apartment and started moving out! I drove him to get a mattress set (I have a pick up, he has a 2 door acura), helped him move that in, and when DH got home, we just relaxed because BIL wasn't here that night!
Sat- BIL came over to do some laundry and pack up more of his room (the day before he basically just took blankets, pillows & his dog, and slept since he works 3rd and didn't sleep for over 24 hours b/c he wanted to set up his place a little) and DH went with him to get some accessories he'd need (dishes, cups, etc). I went to the bank in the morning, and just relaxed playing Wii in the evening while DH did his homework.
Sun- I made DH breakfast, gave him his card, he went out to get my present (he said he didn't forget, he just wanted to get me flowers and couldn't hide them the day before), so I got a rose plant, some candy and cute sticker puzzle kitty valentines. We then went on a motorcycle ride. When we got home, DH went to work on dinner, he made deep dish pizza (almost Chicago-style, but still good). I also took Daisy to Petsmart to get her bowls, new collar & leash and treats. Then we caught the 9:00 show of Valentine's Day, it was a cute movie, and a great way to end the day.
bethie, that is so sweet! i love the "love your DH" - too cute!
as for my weekend -
Friday - a bunch of friends went to another friends house and brought dinner and hung out with her and her new son for her birthday! my friends all brought their kids too, so it was fun to see all the kids. TJ was home by the time i got home from phoenix - his last trip until the baby - yeah!
saturday - went to visit my dad which was great, then TJ and I went to a garlic festival which was a lot of fun. came home and broke in our fondue pot and watched knocked up
sunday - church, then i had a meeting for my charity project for 4 and 1/2 hours, then we went and bought a bed frame (ours broke last week) and went to an old fashioned ice cream parlor for dinner - a place i used to go a lot as a kid and I love!! and we usually never do presents, but TJ surprised me with a gift certificate for a maternity and newborn session with this photographer who i've been drooling over her work...i'm so excited!!
