Did anyone do anything exciting for V-day / their anniversary?

I had to work this weekend, but Kevin was home so he made dinner both Saturday and Sunday, which was lovely. Saturday we went out to run a few errands and picked up some Coldstone - yum!

Yesterday we went out to watch "Valentine's Day" and it was awesome! Then we ran a few errands at the mall, had lunch in the food court and came home and snuggled up to watch the Olympics.

On Saturday night he surprised me with a bouquet (just 3 roses decorated with little jewels) and we exchanged cards.

Nothing too exciting. DH forgot to get me a card. We did go out for an early dinner which was nice. Saturday, we went to my mom's and had dinner. We bought her flowers and a card (I'm sure I'm the only one of her children who thought to even buy her a card). She loved it (she has been single for over 20yrs and valentines day still depresses her).

Oh I forgot to include - when I went down to my car Sunday morning, there was a card sitting on the front seat from DH...even though he swore we weren't going to celebrate. Aww

We had such a great weekend.

Friday- we went to Madison, WI to see Tim McGraw in concert. My stepdad got us tickets for our anniversary. DH smoozed one of the alcohol venders and got us in the VIP area. We got some awesome pics of Tim. DH got to shake his hand!

Saturday- we drove home from WI and went to get our 1 year cake then went to the hotel. We went to dinner then had drinks at the hotel. We saw a bride and groom that had there wedding at the hotel that night.

Sunday- we had breakfast at the hotel and talked with the bride and groom from the night before. Then we had a 50th anniversary party. We also saw "Valentines Day." It was very cute!

Glad everyone had a good valentine's day. We finally went to see Avatar, and we both really enjoyed it. Then, a late night fast food run after the movie (because we didn't have time to eat between feeding calves at the farm and trying to make a 7:30 movie. Such is the life of a farmer Yes )

This makes me wonder when our "knot" anniversary is... How long have we "known" each other online? I remember I only found the knot about a week before our wedding, but I bet some of you were talking months or maybe even a year before your actual weddings. I know the group has gotten smaller, but I feel like it's neat that we're still connected!

so sorry I forgot about the 2/7 brides (and anyone else who got married before the 14th)

I began knotting in the fall of 2007 but originally we thought our wedding was going to be in June of 2008, until we realized how long the immigration would take. I don't think I found the Feb board until spring/summer of 2008 and even then, I wasn't on much through the fall due to inconsistent internet access. I did my most posting (and planning) from December until Feb! It was great having you all there to connect with to share frustrations and accomplishments and ideas....
