I just switched to sprint in mid January. I got the blackberry curve, but I've now had three of them with varying issues...so I think it's time to switch to something else. (I have a couple more days on my 30 day trial).
Pros? Cons? Is there a better phone I'm missing? (I did try the palm pixi for 3 days, and HATED it, so that's out.)
My issues with the blackberry have been:
phone #1: the sprint TV, navigation and NFL mobile didn't work. (wouldn't have been a deal breaker, but I am paying for the service, so I want it to work!)
phone #2: internet browser didn't work.
phone #3: applications and services icons keep disappearing. I've re-downloaded blackberry messenger 3 times because I can't find the icon in any of my folders. If I try to hit run from within the blackberry world app, it won't open. Other programs have gone missing too. I'm getting really annoyed.
So, should I try yet another BB, or is there a better sprint phone out there? I am sad that I'd lose the babyGO app for my toddler, she loves that program, and it keeps her entertained...
Re: anyone have the Hero? I think I have to ditch the blackberry...
That's a bummer...I've had a curve with Sprint for a year now and have had no issues until the last month with my trackball sticking but I think that's due to age and usage since I surf a lot. My upgrade is coming in March and I am getting the Samsung moment because I won't use a touch screen qwerty keyboard, I want a physical keyboard.
You have a hard time picking a phone
I have the hero & love it, if you want next time we meet up you can play with it. I moved from the Centro to the Hero & the only thing I miss is the keypad but knowing you want from a iphone you will have any any problems.
Feel free to ask me any questions you have
I switched...and yes, I have had the worst luck with phones lately. Ugh.
So far, I like the hero. I don't have this all emcompassing love of it like my DH did when he first saw it, but so far I'm issue free!
Now...app suggestions?
