So. The accountant that flys out each year to do my companies taxes always does mine for me as well...FOR FREE!
He said he would do them again this year, even though they are more complicated now that DH is a 1099 contract employee.
Every quarter DH has to pay his state and fed taxes (i guess its different for 1099 vs people who get taxes taken out of each paycheck) So supposedly he has been keeping track.
So I tell him to round everything up because the tax guy is here today thru wed. So I am sorting through the stuff and there are NO COPIES of any of the forms or checks that DH has paid any of his taxes!!!!!!! He said no one ever told him he had to make copies of this stuff! I almost went through the roof! Essentially we have ZERO PROOF that DH ever paid taxes this whole year!!!!!!! Seriously.
So now I am scrambling to look at our online bank account and HOPE that all the copies are there online to print for the tax guy.

Thank the gods at Compass! I was able to locate all the checks...Mind you DH had one whole payment under the wrong month so I had to go searching through each month to locate the payment.
