To cook chicken breasts and then freeze them for later use? And if so, how long do you think they would last in the freezer?
TIA
Re: Is it possible
Absolutely - I do it all the time. Are you cooking/freezing them in a sauce or just baked/grilled plain?
Either works fine. I just make sure if there is no sauce that they are fully cooled ie refrigerated before putting them in the freezer or they tend to get ice crystals on them.
I just ate the last of my frozen cranberry chicken last week and I made it in early december. It was tasty. I find sometimes the plain cooked breasts don't last quite as long though.
Yep it works... I can't remember how long they last, but I think at least a month.
You can google that sort of thing, I'm sure DH did at somepoint, but I can't recall.
The title of this post made it seem like it would be so much more interesting than freezing chicken, I must say I was a little bit disappointed
Glad you got your answer though (b/c I wouldn't have known it)
