Dear Contractor... (mini vent)

If you call me "Hon"  "Honey" or "Sweetie" one more time I may scream.  I have a name and you are more than aware of what it is.  In a professional setting, you just don't call people things like that anymore.  Apparently you're too dense to realize the, "You can call me WittySchaffy" comments I make are a hint to get you to knock it off.  And for the people who say things like, "They're old and don't know better" need to get a clue too.  Just because you're old doesn't mean you have a pass to have your head in 1950.

 Ugh - ok.  I'm done venting.  :-P

  • You tell it sista! I've had the same convo with DH. He loves using that language (he also calls women Miss Ashley, Miss Debbie, etc). I've told him that although I have a bit of a feminist edge, I think it's disrespectful, he thinks it's the reverse. I asked how he'd feel if he was called Mr. Jeremy and he said he wouldn't mind.

On the other hand, I don't mind mam or sir...that does seem appropriate but I completely agree.
