Update: Any spare dust?

Some of you may remember my dust request last week.

http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/31358905.aspx

Well after leaving him at the vet on Friday night we brought him home Saturday.  After the weekend of having to force feed him, force water down his throat and administer IV fluids from home, he still showed no improvement.  So we took him back to the vet to be put on IV fluids again because the vet said they would have ideally liked to keep him on the fluids for 24 hours.  By the time we picked him up on Saturday he had only been on them for 19 hours.  They were hoping that his potassium levels would drop but by the end of the day yesterday they were still higher than they were last week.  So we made the decision to bring him home and let him veg at the house before we put him to sleep.  We didn't want his or our last memories be of having to torture the little guy with feedings and trips to the vet.  I've never lost a pet and I just can't stop crying.  I haven't slept in the last few days because I'll wake up in the middle of the night to go find where he's hiding and just pet on him.  We have an appt for tomorrow afternoon to say our final goodbyes.  Thanks to everybody who shared their dust with us.
