Am I the only one that doesn't celebrate V Day?

Don't get me wrong I love romance but it just seems so "forced" on V day.

  • We don't celebrate it either. For no particualr reason, we just don't really get into it. Also, we usually go big for my bday which is the 12th so by the 14th we're tired and have already celebrated!
  • No. It's my dad's birthday, so growing up, it was his day! Still is.

We're going to do a little grocery shopping, watch a movie (maybe go see one- not Valentine's day though!) and cook dinner later. It's another Sunday for us!

  • No - we don't really do much either.  DH isn't even home right now actually.  He's been in RI for work since Thursday and should be home for dinner.

  • Nope. We went and registered at Target today and both of us remarked that we hadn't even bought each other cards yet, so we just decided not to lol. We're making a romantical dinner later on, but that's about it :-)

  • No celebrating here. Everyone puts SO much pressure on themselves, too many expectations, too much to live up to.  I have never been much of a fan.  We usually jokingly ask each other to be each others valentine and he bought me a bag of peanut butter cups when he stopped at cvs for soap this morning.

We often go out for a nice "anti-Valentine's Day" dinner on a different night.

  • Nope, we don't do Valentine's Day either.  I've never been into it, lucky DH :)  Plus this year it also happens to fall on the start of Chinese New Year, which is a much bigger deal for us.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • Nope.  DH and I have been together for almost 12 yrs and have never really celebrated the day.  In high school, I was anti-valentine's day, in college we were in different states and I usually had a theater performance.

Every once in a while, I'll scare DH by asking "What are you getting me?" or something like that, but he knows that I'm kidding.
