Anybody know much about Feline Leukemia?
They retested the kittens to make sure and they are positive. I spoke to the receptionist at the vet's office and she was not knowledgable at all. I did a little research online and it's all heartbreaking. Does anybody have any personal experience with the disease? Any thoughts on the likelyhood my cats have contracted it? I will talk to the vet tomorrow when I go by there. They forgot to give me the girls rabies tags. I'm so sad.
Re: Anybody know much about Feline Leukemia?
I bet Tammy would have some information for you. I believe she volunteers at the HS. So sorry to hear about your kitty's.
We actually don't get a lot of FeLV cats, we get a lot more FIV cats. My neighbors cat had FeLV and lived a pretty long life, but when she went down hills, she went there fast. I'm glad you are having them re-tested. I know FIV cats get false positive results all the time.
I found this site, maybe it can help you. http://felineleukemia.org/
