update: shower invites - better?

Thank you to everyone who responded on my post from yesterday about the sisters bridal shower. I got the room booked, and I am excited to finally start laying out my plan. The event coordinator even offered me her huge framed photo of Audrey Hepburn from her house to use after she found out the theme...how awesome and nice is that?

I have been working all morning on a better invite, vistaprint is trying it's best to be difficult, but out of all of them I came up with, I like this one the best. Thoughts? Do you like the one from last nights post better, or do you like this one better? Thank you much. (oh and this will be matted on either black cardstock with tiffany blue ribbon, or tiffany blue cardstock with white ribbon.)

Re: update: shower invites - better?

  • And yeah....it's still 2009 right?? Stick out tongue
  • I like the origianl invitation from yesterday better.  I LOVE Audrey but the other one looks really classic, love the color, and  love the bling.  It's very elegant and would look awesome in a frame kind of invitation....just my opinion though.  Big Smile  YAY to the framed Audrey picture!  That's awesome!
  • PS: I really like both, just the other one a tad better.  I LOVE the ribbon touch as well!
  • I'm with Kristina. I like this one, but loved the one yesterday...especially if you matted it on some black cardstock. They are going to be so beautiful.
  • I like this one better.  If you're doing a theme, go all out and put her on the invite! :)  Did you decide against the "little black dress" attire?

  • Thanks for the imput ladies, I'm really torn! My sister is pretty modern-tasted (much more so than I) and I thought these newer ones had more of a modern vibe. Hmmmm.....stuck.

I actually couldn't fit it on there so I am going to make a coordinating insert card to put in as well with the black dress wording on it.

  • I like the design of today's better, and especially recommend it if she prefers more modern styles. I would maybe add more tiffany blue fonts though. It's definitely more fun and memorable IMHO.

Surprise! The Sequel is due 12.8.14!

  • Also, how do you pronounce her name?  Is it like Krissy-uh?  I've never seen that name before and I come across a lot of names at my job! :)

  • Kellie it's pronounced like "Krish-a" like Trisha but with a K. It's polish, my grandma is Krystyna, which oiginated from the polish name Krysia.
  • Maybe you could do the insert card like the one yesterday!  And tie them together with a little more blue on the invite?
  • I like the idea of the Audrey invite with a Tiffany blue cardstock matte.  You could also make it a touch more modern by considering a clean, sans serif font for the majority of the text.  Also, Holly's character uses "darling," "fabulous," and "divine" ALL the time in the movie- you may want to include those words in the invite.  Love it!! I want to come!

I'm glad you liked some of my suggestions yesterday.  Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my all time favorite movies... and it's obvious to me now that I've seen it WAY too many times lol!!

  • I like em both!! but like everyone else said if she is more modern then I would go with this one.

the bridal shower sounds like its going to go great. you have great space to work with. all of the ideas sound good. cant wait to see pics:)

  • I LOVE this invite! It makes me want to have a Breakfast at Tiffany's party just so I can send it out! The one yesterday was pretty, but this totally stands out. Especially if your sis has a more modern style.
