Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

SIL's H just left her
Do you even remember him? I posted a long time ago, as it was WR drama: one of SIL's friends dropped out of the wedding, SIL's FI said he was dropping DH as a groomsman so the sides would be even, SIL objected, the FI won, DH was "demoted" to usher and said that's okay, I'll just come as a guest, the FI went apeshit and accused DH of throwing "the honor of being asked to be an usher" back in his face, etc. And I proclaimed the FI king of the douchebags. (On here, not to his face.)
SIL sent an email at 2:00 this a.m., and DH just read it. Apparently, unbeknownst to SIL, her H got a job in another state, called her, and told her that she has a week to get her things out of their townhouse. WTF?
I can't pretend to know everything that happened here, and maybe there are two sides to this story, but holy crap. I knew he was a d-bag. He didn't hide it well.
Poor SIL. DH is going to offer to let her come stay with us for a while. Her mom has kind of a checkered past, so we're not sure if she's even an option at the moment. And unfortunately, FIL is insensitive enough to remind SIL that he spent $25k on that wedding not even two years ago and for what?
SMH @ all of it.
