XP: Your Vibes worked a little too well!

I think I posted last week sometime about the new job DH was offered. He started working part time for them last week and they had said they wanted to make it a full time position in the future which would be awesome because DH said then we can start TTC.

So Saturday DH gets an e-mail from a company that he has been trying to get a job at for about 2 years now. BIL works at this company doing the same work DH does and it's an awesome job. Let's just say the only way there is an opening is if someone dies or retires. So the e-mail asks that DH resubmit his resume because there is an opening and they want to hire him! DH called me to ask what he should do because there is a 6 week training period and the hours would conflict with his part time job. He decided to talk to the part time place and ask if they could accomodate his hours during the training period.

So today when he went in to work at the part time job he talked with them and they didn't like him taking a new job. The president of the company called him and told him they would increase his salary and make him a full time employee in 30 days! DH was shocked to say the least. Then while waiting for the other job to call for a phone interview, his current full time job calls to say that a double agent position (read: does in-home setups and repairs) has opened up and they want him to start this week! He had been trying to get this promotion since last fall. DH couldn't believe it.

So in the end his decision is to go with the part time/soon to be full time job and then when they make him full time he will drop to part time with Best Buy just so he has a fall back (oh, and the employee discount isn't too shabby :-P ) I honestly cannot believe the good fortune that has come his way in the past week or so. He can't believe it either. Thank you all for your job vibes, they really worked wonders!
