I'm so sorry about your dog. Lots of love, I know you made the best decision for your friend.
Re: *** Lorelai ***
Thank you!
We're just so tired... It's sad seeing DH cry and we've been doing it off and on.
Can't tell if it's the wine or the crying, but we've some major headaches today... ugh. I gave the treats/food to the neighbors last night and DH went to tell the kids. ONE was really broken up about it. the other two-eh. The ex said we can 'borrow' their dogs (they have 2 pugs-which are NOT my fav and the one's a brute)... um, no, I'm not taking c/o your dogs that you don't even take care of. She's a peach, that ex is.
We did save the bowls, etc as I think DH loves having a dog around, but it won't be for quite some time... this was incredibly difficult.
Humorous part (looking back)-we took her out on her doggie bed like Cleopatra... down the steps, etc... She had a queen's exit...

I'm so sorry, Lori. I know how hard it is to lose a pet and friend...we had to put down my childhood dog when I was in college, and it was one of the hardest things for me. Lots of hugs your way!
