I am going to Newport this weekend to with my BFF (leaving the husbands at home). ?We are staying at the Viking and going to the SPA. ?I am so excited. ?Any Recs for restaurants down there. ? TIA
Re: Newport
Definitely the Red Parrot. It's by far the best restaurant down there and is the most centrally located right on Thames st. Brick Alley Pub is also on Thames st and the food there is also very good, and its a nice atmosphere. I still think Red Parrot is better, they have a huge menu but they're also the busiest restaurant in Newport.
If it wasn't so cold, I'd recommend the Black Pearl, they have a neat outdoor dining experience and the food is good too.
Have a great time down there, it's such a fun place.
Was just there this past weekend.
If you like seafood, Scales and Shells is delicious. Good menu but all fish and shellfish. Price is moderate to pricey depending on what you order.
I've also been to Red Parrot which is good. For a romantic and elctic atmosphere with excellent food is Tucker's Bistro. More expensive reservations reccommended.
