Had our big u/s today! Edit - pics in blog!
Everything looks great! The tech didn't really say much, but she did say it's all good. So I'd rather have her not say much but have it be good, than have a lot of bad things to say haha. I will scan the pictures in later on :-)
Edit - pics in blog! And a huge vent. Feel free to skip that, I just really needed to get it out there lol.
Re: Had our big u/s today! Edit - pics in blog!
We didn't even ask.
Before she started anything she asked if we wanted to know, so I said no. My MIL (who I didn't want there, but whatever, at least FIL wasn't there) pipes up 'I want to!' Before I could even say anything DH goes 'don't even start.' She said 'what! I figured I'd try!' I said 'don't. Don't even try. Just stop.'
Seriously, I wanted to tell her she could leave right then and there. Can you really not just be happy we are having a baby, ffs?!?! THANK GOD I put my foot down and said FIL couldn't come, I can only imagine what he would have been like.
Anyway, congrats on the healthy baby!
Congrats! I'm sure its a relief to know everything is copasetic
I read about a family who decided they definitely did not want to know the sex of their baby. They went 9+ months not knowing, the baby was a week late and at the final dr appointment, they saw a new lab tech I guess who didn't read the chart and just walked in and said "You and your baby boy are doing just fine". The suggestion from them was to wear name tags that say " we don't want to know!" to every appointment. I can't even imagine how po'd I'd be if someone did that!
I would be LIVID. But I have already been assured that at my practice if a couple doesn't want to know, it is not marked on the records. So while I'm sure that the tech knew today, she won't put it on my charts. There won't be a chance of anyone seeing it and saying it by accident. I was so relieved when they told me that!
138. If you are wondering for the OWT, at our first ultrasound it was 160. Second it was 136. Last appointment on the doppler it was 150. So if you go by that our baby has had a sex change THREE times now
Teehee
Crazy things going on inside my ute! hahaha
