...just trying to get a bit of perspective - as DH and I have very different ideals on how often these things should be done. Trying to find a good balance on these major chores. Thanks.

ha! this makes me feel a little better...although we don't have a kid so I really have 0 excuses.
vacuum? every three days
wash your sheets? once a week

clean bathtubs? monthly. We all take showers. It'd be more frequently if anyone took baths.
dust? Not as often as I should. Probably every few months.
vacuum? I understand DH vacuums several times a week

dust? about every week in the living room, every month in the bedrooms
The pup stirs up a lot of dirt, dust and dander in the living room, so that area gets regular attention. The areas he doesn't go in stay cleaner longer.

We have 2 dogs and we both have horrible allergies so lots of dusting is required.

clean bathtubs? all i do is spray Tilex mold remover or something like that in there about once every 2 weeks. It says "no wiping necessary" so I don't :-)

wash your sheets? maybe once a month. I always forget about the sheets. but I vacuum our bed because they cats sleep there all day.

vacuum? - 2x/week (we have a crawler on our hands that puts EVERYTHING in his mouth and two cats that shed like crazy)

clean toliets? wipe down daily to every 3 days with those antibacterial wipes and then scrub them throughoutly about 1x/mo

dust? i try to do it about 2x/mo but it usually is about once ever 2 mo. ha!
vacuum? Downstairs rug - every day. Upstairs carpet - every 2-3 days.
wash your sheets? I aim for once a week, sometimes it turns into a week and a half or 2 weeks
Unless I catch a dog lying on the sheets. Then they get washed immidiately.
clean toliets? When they look dirty? Or the guest toilets anytime I know we've had people over and multiple men used them
clean bathtubs? Again ... when they look dirty or before we have planned overnight company.

ETA: I have 2 1/2 big dogs (my parents giant hairy dog comes over several times a week) and I have to clean that much, or my house is taken over by dog filth.
