How are you guys feeling? Now that we're all third tri. How's the sleep (or lack of sleep)? And, everything else? Read to be done yet?
I think the baby is perpetually pushing on my lungs because breathing is so hard. Sleeping is okay, once I get comfortable, but I am up about six times per night to pee (David said that it is good practice for when I have to get up when the baby is here). And, standing up from sitting or lying is tough. I am feeling really tired again, but other than all that all is good. Man, it all seems so negative as I type it, but it really is going well. I am not sure how I will make it another seven weeks because I am tired of this now haha.
Either of you get short of breath easily?
Re: Shoe & Pink
I feel like this all the time. It's like all I can do is complain but honestly, I have had a freaking textbook pregnancy and should not be complaining at all.
When I was 32/33 weeks, I hit a wall and said the same thing you just said (about not making it 7 more weeks). But then it went away and I was fine. I hit another wall yesterday but I'm actually feeling much better today. I know it's all in my head. I'm definitely ready to not be pregnant anymore but I'm not quite ready to bring a baby home yet. Trying to get out of bed for me is comical. Seriously.
Sleep sucks. It feels like a bowling ball is sitting on my cervix and anytime I move, the entire ball also moves. SUCKFEST. So at night I just end up staying in the same position and then I wake up with a stiff neck. Fortunately, I only get up once a night to pee.
Let's see, what else...Oh, I get so exhausted so easily now. But it's not like 1st tri exhaustion, it's more like I have no energy. So I'll feel fine, then go to unload the dishwasher and feel like I ran a marathon. I spend a LOT of time on the couch.
And yes, I do get short of breath easily. I hear when the babe drops, you can breath easier but I have such a short torso, I don't know that this will ever happen!
I've been short of breath since day one. It's less annoying now though.
I feel like I have to pee all the time when I'm awake because she's hanging out by the bladder.
I click when I walk, that's fun...some kind of bone in my back by my hips. It's off and on. Quite comical! Every step I take.
I'm down to puking about 3 times a week at most which is a HUGE relief.
I had my 32w appt this morning and didn't gain a single pound since my last one over 3 weeks ago. Total I have gained 6lbs. Although I'm happy, I can't help but worry. I keep hearing "It's OK" though because my fundal height's been measuring right on.
Sleep sucks, not because I get up to pee that much because I stop drinking water when I leave work, but because I'm so uncomfortable. I actually don't wake up to pee til about an hour before I need to.
I got stuck in the bath last night. I have a huge garden tub and it's been getting really hard to get out. I refuse to take showers though! However, this may be a dumb idea since DH works nights so I'm home alone
Oh and she's transverse right now. She has been for several weeks. I can't tell what everything is like some people, but I can definitely tell she's sideways due to 2 huge bumps pertruding out of my stomach, one slightly to the left of my bellybutton and one to the right. The goal is to get her upside down by 35w, as per my appt today. So come 35 weeks I'll be doing some heavy duty spinning techniques if she doesn't move around before then!
I can't believe how hard my stomach is. And when she moves an appendage, I sometimes tear up because it's so tight.
I am so sorry about this! I could not take it! My child would make itself an only child if I were still puking at 33 weeks.
I have a clicky back every now and then too, sometimes if I stand with weight on one leg and then try to move something in my lower back gets stuck, and pops out. Sometimes I'm not sure if I will be able to move out of that position.
Shoe, I hear ya about doing small chores and getting winded. I was sweeping the floor today, and got done with the kitchen and had to sit down because I was so out of breath. I am glad it's not just me, I thought that I was just really, really out of shape. I was embarrassed, lol.
It sounds like we're all pretty much on track, we're in the home stretch now (especially you, Shoe). I am getting nervous, but at the same time excited. I am just totally unprepared for the baby (or I feel totally unprepared anyway).
wow, ya'll make me sooooo happy to have Mirena!
be careful with that shortness of breath.
The baby movements have become quite uncomfortable, I didn't know that was going to happen. I guess because there is less and less room in there, it makes it uncomfortable. Sometimes I will get a BH contraction and the baby moves, and it is so uncomfortable. It doesn't really hurt, it's just really really tight. I am not sure how to explain it.
Aw, nope! Sorry!
I wish I would have known some of this stuff before hand, just so I knew to expect it. How are you feeling btw?
Super Duper now, I try not to post too much baby stuff on here, but it's all on my blog.
Good news! I am a terrible blog reader and writers. I always forget about them. I just read Shoe's and Pink's. I am going to go catch up on yours now!
I can't believe you're still puking! You have my pity.
Yeah, I had to quit bathing when MH wasn't home. It is so hard for me to get out of the tub by myself! I also can't shave my legs anymore. MH does that for me too. And last week he helped me shave elsewhere. He's a good man.
YES!
ps--Around week 35/36 your vagina will swell up to something that is unrecognizable and you will then know what it feels like to have a package between your legs. Ice packs are helpful during this time. YWIA.
Then we're both out of shape! It sucks. I really hate feeling so useless.
I know exactly what you are saying. When I get a big BH, it is soooo painful! I feel like I have 10lbs of baby in my lungs. I even try to physically push him/her down but nothing helps. That makes me want to cry it hurts so bad.
Shaving is sooooo hard. DH has offered to help, but I am too scared to let him go through with it.
MrShoe is TERRIFIED to cut me so he is super careful. It's really kind of funny but he's very good at it.
We use a razor that has a guard on it. That's the only way I'd let him near that area.
