Oh DH... wow...

Dh apparently just went to the bank to sort out and deposit all of his coin stash. After years of non-coin-usage, he has deposited over $75, mostly NOT quarters.

Re: Oh DH... wow...

  • LOL! Wow!

We did that once. We had been collecting change in a huge water cooler bottle (mostly not quarters). I can't remember how much it was, but it was a lot!?

  • Before DH got a check card, he used to go monthly and now our Baileys' can sits gathering dust with very little in the way of coin.

  • My parents have one of those popcorn bank things you can get at Christmas and it's nearly full - like change in the neck part.  As soon as it's full - they're cashing it in and depositing it in the 529 they set up for my kids.  (woohoo!)
  • My parents used to save their coins... at one point, I remember they counted them all up to cash in, and there was more than $400. Crazy.

  • One summer we road tripped from Vancouver, Wa to Sacramento. My friend's dad gave us these pickle jars that were full of change, all separated into types. There was over TWO HUNDRED dollars in those pickle jars.
