WWYD?

Ok so Dh turns 35 in May and I want to do something special for him!

Would you

1. Throw a suprise birthday party

2. Plan a trip to the beach

3. Just take him out to dinner and get Dh some new clothes

Re: WWYD?

  • My DH is really quiet and doesn't like the beach so 1 and 2 would be out so # 3 would be my choice for my DH
  • Just depends on your DH. Would he love a surprise party? If you do a beach trip, you get a vacay too! lol Does he need new clothes?
  • My vote would be to go to the beach.  DH and I both love the coast, so it would be great for us.

You may be able to combine 1 and 2 and take several friends with you to the beach to celebrate down there.

And, if you did that you would save money on a place to stay, and you could still buy him some new clothes.

    My vote is 1, 2 & 3! :)

  • I would do 2 or 3 and save the surprise party for the big 4-0
  • I hate surprise parties so that's never my vote haha.

I like the beach trip because it would be a nice vacation. I like the suggestion to make it a group trip because those are fun :)

The sad thing is all of are friends have babys or ones on the way!

  • I would say 2 or 3!!
  • I would also vote for the beach.  Making it a group trip could be a lot of fun but if you don't want kids to go I guess that idea is out.

I always love vacations as gifts...one person only needs so much stuff.  I'd rather have new memories.

  • I would go for option #2! I think that would be fun and special!
  • I LOVE surprise parties so that is my vote.

What if like others said you combined 1 and 2.  Last year for DH I planned a surprise camping trip with a bunch of his friends.  We all just got together and hung out and had bonfires at night and swam all day. DH still talks about how much fun he had.  And, it was super cheap and for people with kids camping is usually pretty kid friendly.
