So THIS is where all the KU BR people are!
Hi there! I've dropped by the Bump's BR board and it's truly pitiful.
Can I play here with you girls?
I'm Emily, been married to Andrew since 11/07. We're expecting our first in August!
Re: So THIS is where all the KU BR people are!
Hello! Congrats and welcome! You most certainly can play here. We're pretty fantabulous (or so I think).
I've been married to MrShoe since 11/08 and we're expecting our first in 3 weeks.
Hello! Congrats! Welcome!
I'm Ali and I have been married to DH since 03/07, we're expecting our first in about 7 weeks.
Holy smokes! Seeing it like that is unreal! I can't believe it!
Yeah, me neither. I'm freaking out.
Wow everyone is so far along!
Anyone have any tips or tricks regarding being pregnant in BR?
I signed up for a yoga class at Destination Maternity, but then got sick (New Orleans has the ability to give me the plague, apparently) the day before the class and never went. I want to get involved in something like that but I feel like my time is better filled with naps and eating lately.
I am actually in Slidell, but just recently moved here. I was always so tired and wanted to sleep all day long in the beginning of my pregnancy. Once I hit about 18 weeks, I was a totally different person. I had lots of energy and felt great. Now that I am getting towards the end, I am tired again and ready to cross the finish line.
There are a couple girls on here that are in their first and second tri.
I had every intention of doing yoga but I'm also in grad school and I work FT so I felt my down time was much better spent on my couch with a bag of potato chips. Are you delivering at Woman's? I know they offer classes if that's what you're looking for?
We're having a gtg next Thurs at the Melting Pot. You should come!
For the most part, I think I do. My second shower is this weekend so once that's over I'll be able to assess what I need to go buy. I just haven't even started a bag and even I'm starting to get nervous about that. I probably won't get a chance to do it before Sat so that's what I plan on doing on Sun. Packing bags.
Hi and welcome!
I'm Brittany, married to Dusty, and we just had our first on October 30th..
What kind of things are you planning on packing? The hospital gave a list, but I am trying to figure out what the most important stuff is, and if there's other things that aren't on the list or that I didn't think of.
I am delivering at Woman's, and I guess they're affiliated with Destination Maternity, because that's where a lot of classes are held. They have the yoga and they also have something called 'Strong Mamas' or something that is cardio and weights.
I'd love to join you all!
They are. Who's your doc (if you don't mind me asking)? I took the Labor of Love class at DM. It's not recommended. I'm sure they'll be a post about it sometime next week.
I see Dr. Ryan Dickerson and I love him.
haha, I know I know...
I'm here now!

This board actually moves, it's kind of awesome.
It has it's moments, of movement that is...Much more than in the past.
I can't believe you're that far along! Whoo hoo!
It is a little crazy how fast time is going by! I've been nearly symptomless the whole time too, so I guess I keep waiting to feel like this thing is getting started, when actually it already has!
Just joking!
::still glazed over from puking this morning, yes still::
Oh no!! I'm sorry!
I did have a few weeks of feeling kind of car sick, but I went out and bought seabands and only wore one. They worked like a charm for me! When I needed reinforcement I chewed ginger gum and after that I'd be fine.
I definitely count my lucky stars for no puking so far, but I'm well aware it could happen any time!!
Only other problem so far is my SI joints (area under the butt dimples) have been acting up pretty terribly. They give out on me and everything.
Hi I'm Belle!
Not KU but married for 2 1/2 years and living in BR.
Congrats to you and YH!
