What are you thankful for today?
Re: Thankful Thursdays
It's beautifully sunny out today.
The forecast looks to continue in similar fashion today (but get a little bit colder - still average temps, though!) through the weekend. Every time I see a forecast and see Saturday as nice, I can't help but thank God.
I'm thankful for one of our friends, J. He usually is able to help MH during the week (they work for the same company) - he is picking up Greg tomorrow during the day (so we can drop the Focus off for brakes), taking him to pick up the truck we're using for moving, helping to take down the ceiling fan (and reinstall at the new place), helping move stuff tomorrow (treadmill, and a few other things), AND helping us Saturday. The guy is incredibly busy (2 kids under the age of 4, works ~60 hours a week)... but he always is there when we really need help. With humor and a good attitude, and enthusiasm.
I'm also thankful to have only put on 2 pounds over the past few weeks. We haven't made much food and relied on convenience a lot while we pack, paint, and move. So only two pounds? I'll take it and be happy.
VERY thankful this morning for the PT who seems very determined to help me - and work hard to identify the trigger. So far, so good. ETA: It's been an arduous mental journey because after 2 months, I've started to feel like I'll NEVER be better. This PT - without saying anything to this effect - gives me a little glimmer of hope that I might be able to get back to normal!
I am thankful this week is going by quickly.
I am thankful MH has Friday AND Saturday night off so we can spend the weekend together, which is rare.
I am thankful it's nice out today and seems to be warming up.
I am thankful that (knock on a forest full of wood) my pregnancy is going smoothly and I pray it stays that way. I am so thankful I can feel him moving around in there.
I am thankful we got the vacation house we wanted for August.
I am thankful for my husband, just in general.
I am thankful for my and my husbands health and the health of my family and friends.
I am thankful Paula is coming to visit in April.
I am thankful my mom is so great and listens to me even when I call her 10 times a day.
I am thankful for a lot of other things but I think my list is long enough for now
I am thankful this week is coming to an end.
I am thankful it's lunchtime...I'm starving!
I am thankful today is my Friday!
I'm thankful for my wonderful friends I get to see this weekend!
I'm thankful for my hubby!
I'm thankful the weather is going to be nice this weekend so MH can go fishing...he's been so cooped up recently!
I'm thankful for my family and DH's family. As annoying as they can be at times, without them, I don't think I could currently work full time.
I am thankful for my job and DH's job. All these stories about a crappy economy really puts things into perspective.
Oh - Mandy reminded me. I'm very thankful Xena and the landlord's dog get along. I was nervous (he's a big Doberman who's just a cartoonish looking goof, but he's a little timid. It's taken Greg a full month to pet him! EVERY DOG loves Greg - it broke his heart when he would shy away from us.)
Xena and he played yesterday apparently... I think Deuce will be a great companion and his endless energy will be sure to wear my baby girl out (and help her drop the ~3 pounds she needs to.)
I'm very thankful that we have the ability to build the house of our (realistic) dreams so early in life. I didn't think we'd have this opportunity for many more years.
I'm also thankful that Mike is being reasonable about the upgrades - meaning that he's pretty much giving me free reign on them.
And I'm really thankful for my family. No reason, they're just great.
