TTC/PG Blog | Mommy Blog
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? Ashton is 6 months and 3 days old.
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? Things are ok..I have a cold and I pray that I don't give it to Ashton. He's already have 2 colds since he was born. Since I don't think Ashton will ever crawl (he still hates tummy time), he has started to scoot on his butt across his play mat. He also is cutting his second tooth..I can see it shinning:-)
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? We have Ashton's 6 month well baby check up next week along with his vaccines. We are doing an alternative schedule so we actually go in the clinic once a month.
(4) When did you first feel the baby move? I think I first felt Ashton when I was 18 weeks. I know I was further along than most ladies.
(5) What items of furniture are (will be) in your baby?s nursery? We have a twin bed, changing table (which I was not going to get based on baby bargains but it is the one thing that is used all the time), crib and toy chest.
(6) Stupidest thing someone?s said to you since you?we been pregnant? Someone asked me if I was having twins when I was 39 weeks pg. Oh and told me never to think about going unmedicated...that it would be a stupid idea.
(7) For TTCers: Which cycle are you on? Where in the cycle are you? What, if anything, are you doing to have success TTCing?
(8) For mommies:Did you photograph/video your labor and birth? Yes, the labor Adam took photos and videos. Adam has a video of Ashton being pulled from my belly.
BONUS: PIP of your bump or LO or for TTCers...link to your chart! Photos in blog.
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?
3 months 5 days
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?
she's growing so fast! she has started grasping at the toys on her play mat now (just last week she was batting them). when i put her down on it now she immediately reaches up to grab a toy!
she also loves to blow bubbles with her spit and then go phhhhhhhhhhhht by blowing air out (she's blown bubbles a while now but the blowing air out is new) - check out the video here. not so many bubbles in this video, but just a lot of drool and funny noises
she also giggles more often now when i'm talking to her (used to be just when i was bouncing her) and i love it!
as for me, going to work is getting easier, even though i think about her all day and call at least 2-3 times to check on her while i am gone
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?
she'll get more shots in a month
(4) When did you first feel the baby move?
16 weeks 1 day (MH felt the first kick some time around 17 wks)
(5) What items of furniture are (will be) in your baby?s nursery?
dresser with hutch that we use to store her clothes and CDs - it doubles as a changing table, rocker w/ottoman and crib
(6) Stupidest thing someone?s said to you since you?ve been pregnant?
"oh my gosh you look like you've blown up! you're huge!"
i guess that's more rude than stupid though huh?
(7) For TTCers: Which cycle are you on? Where in the cycle are you? What, if anything, are you doing to have success TTCing?
(8) For mommies:Did you photograph/video your labor and birth?
yes, i hired a nestie that wanted experience doing birth photography to get photos for us. when i ended up w/a c-section, the anesthesiologist took over
BONUS: PIP of your bump or LO or for TTCers...link to your chart!

Soooo cute!!! I hope our pups will be this calm around the baby! (but probably not =P)
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 34 weeks, 3 days
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?
Good. Excited to be heading into the home stretch. I had another scary dizzy spell and nearly passed out at work, so I'm looking forward to maternity leave beginning next week.
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? 2 weeks for my first internal exam!!!
(4) When did you first feel the baby move?
I wasn't sure until 18 weeks.
(5) What items of furniture are (will be) in your baby?s nursery?
Crib, dresser (has changing pad on it), reclining rocker and low shelf for storage
(6) Stupidest thing someone?s said to you since you?we been pregnant?
I don't like all the size comments. I've gained 20 pounds and my belly is measuring right on track, so I feel perfectly healthy. Yet so many people have opinions that you're too big or too small... and that just introduces unnecessary worry.
17 weeks, 4 days
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?
Feeling mostly fat and bloated. I wish my "bump" was more of a true baby bump, and didn't just look like I ate my way across town. Still having round ligament pain, but it's manageable.
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?
In two weeks.....gender ultrasound!!!!
(4) When did you first feel the baby move?
Still really haven't.
(5) What items of furniture are (will be) in your baby?s nursery?
Crib, Dresser w/hutch, glider rocker and ottoman for sure. Not sure about anything else yet.
(6) Stupidest thing someone?s said to you since you?ve been pregnant?
Just yesterday during a music department planning meeting for next year, I requested to have the latest Christmas concert date (concert dates range from the first to third week in December) so that I would still have time to prepare a decent concert, given that I am starting the school year on mid-October. Another music teacher told me that I should really re-think that and come back earlier, because concert quality is so important and I'll need more time to prepare than that. Really??? More important than my newborn baby??? I think I'll manage, thanks.

Valentine's Day / 17 weeks
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 39.5 weeks
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? blood pressure is down, urine is fine NST have all been perfect and I don't even have to keep (physically) talking it easy - I still didn't try to go back to work b/c I guess the office does stress me out a little. But yay - no more talk of induction! So now I'm just hoping these random contractions will even out soon...
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? tomorrow - I have to go 2 times a week since the blood pressure/etc. scare.
(4) When did you first feel the baby move? I felt "bubbles" pretty early, but by week 16/17 I could definitely feel consistent movement.
(5) What items of furniture are (will be) in your baby?s nursery? the room is really small. I just put a crib and refurbished dresser in there. Also a storage system in the closet.
(6) Stupidest thing someone?s said to you since you?ve been pregnant? like everyone else, my complaint lately is everyone (and I mean everyone from friends to random ppl at the grocery) comment on size. Last night someone at MH's basketball game said I was "tiny" for being 5 days away. HAHA, I FEEL HUGE, but thanks
but earlier that day at least 3 people at the grocery told me I looked miserable (I'm not)/like I'm going to pop/I'm carrying so low the baby might just fall out. Uhhhh... thanks strangers. MYOB!!
BONUS: PIP of your bump or LO or for TTCers...link to your chart!(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? okay...still nauseous & a little more gas than I would like, but overall nothing that I can't handle. As for milestones, my bf/MOH, told me she is pg too. She is due exactly one month after me!
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? March 4 - 2nd appt
(4) When did you first feel the baby move? nothing yet, but still too soon
(5) What items of furniture are (will be) in your baby?s nursery? not sure...crib, dresser, rocker & maybe changing table
(6) Stupidest thing someone?s said to you since you?ve been pregnant? nothing too stupid yet, but we'll give them more time!
(8) For mommies:Did you photograph/video your labor and birth? I dont' think we will have any pics taken. Just before & after shots.
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 28 weeks
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? I feel great except I've been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and that just blows because I love my sweets. I'm feeling less stress at work and now that we have found a home its taken a huge weight off me.
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? Because I have large fibroids I get an ultrasound every month. Last week our little girl weighed 2 lbs 9 oz....she's not so little
(4) When did you first feel the baby move? 21 oe 22 weeks. I feel her all the time now you can see the movements from the outside which is freaky.
(5) What items of furniture are (will be) in your baby?s nursery? Crib, changing table/dresser, glider and ottomon.
(6) Stupidest thing someone?s said to you since you?ve been pregnant? Are you sure you're not carrying twins?
(7) For TTCers: Which cycle are you on? Where in the cycle are you? What, if anything, are you doing to have success TTCing?
(8) For mommies:Did you photograph/video your labor and birth?
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?
23w 1d
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?
right now I am just excited to have made it to 23 weeks so only one more week to viability. In the last week Mason has been really active...maybe he has been watching to much olympics and is in training already:)
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?
feb 23rd follow up u/s to follow progress on placenta, cervix, and his urine production
(4) When did you first feel the baby move?
19 weeks for sure but I think I was feeling him at 17 weeks just wasn't for sure that it was him
(5) What items of furniture are (will be) in your baby?s nursery?
well I guess you can say that the nursery makes up a corner of our bedroom...but we have a crib, small dresser, and will add a rocker
(6) Stupidest thing someone?s said to you since you?ve been pregnant?
haven't heard anything yet
(7) For TTCers: Which cycle are you on? Where in the cycle are you? What, if anything, are you doing to have success TTCing?
(8) For mommies:Did you photograph/video your labor and birth?

hopefully we will remember to take one tonight we have been meaning to take one the last several weeks but we keep forgetting
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 29 weeks, 4 days.
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? Kinda over it, to be honest. But SO relieved that today is my last day of work!
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? OMG I have so many freaking appointments. Let's see...I have a 30-week ultrasound next Wednesday, then the super high risk specialist on Friday, then the next Wednesday I have both the physician/dietitian and then later that same day, my OBGYN. Good times.
(4) When did you first feel the baby move? I felt the first flutters at 18 weeks...the first solid kicks were probably around 22 weeks.
(5) What items of furniture are (will be) in your baby?s nursery? 2 cribs, a changing table and a rocker. There isn't room for anything else lol!
(6) Stupidest thing someone?s said to you since you?ve been pregnant? "So, they're still in there, eh?" I always want to reply, "Oh no, I gave birth last week. I just loved being this huge so much that I'm wearing a fake stomach."
I am sorry Heather...that sucks. You can do it. And you won't have to give up all sweets...I had ice cream every night as my snack before bed time. I found these mini ice cream sandwiches and cones that were 14-15 g/carb each and I got 30 g/carbs for snacks so it was perfect!
Weight Watcher desserts might also fit the bill for you. It's better than nothing! If you want to chat on here about GD, let me know or you can email me: loridecter [at] yahoo [dot] com

You can totally do it Heather! It's really not as bad as it seems at first. Like Lori said, you can still have ice cream when you want something sweet, and my dietitian said that if I was REALLY craving candy that I could have a couple of small squares of chocolate (pity I don't like chocolate, eh?).
