happy belated anniversary to myday!
i just realized yesterday was Feb 17th which was your 2nd year anniversary! yay! congrats! 2 years already and now you have a beautiful baby! :-). how time flies! hope you and DH had a great time celebrating. didn't you leave alexa in daycare? how did she do?
when do you go back to work (or will you ever? lol)? btw, there's a new froyo place that will open across the street from Zara. it's much closer to our office! yay! we may have a new meet up spot this summer! lol. see you soon!

Awww, thanks girls! You are so sweet. We had a nice day! We dropped Alexa off for her FIRST day of daycare... And then we got a room at the W and relaxed the afternoon away in bed watching movies and hanging out. The day went by too fast. But we were both excited to go pick up Alexa. They said she was very good and barely fussed...
But I did have a few problems with the daycare that I plan to discuss with them. They threw out a lot of breastmilk that was not consumed. :-( And despite my instructions and schedule asking for Alexa to be fed AFTER her naps.... They fed her to sleep. Ack. Bad!
I am trying not to totally freak out about it but it's hard to cede control of her schedule and day... I go back next Wednesday, Feb. 24th. I'll have a 3-day week. Then another 3-day week. Then a 4-day week. Then I'm back full time. It's another chapter........ It'll be good. I'm a ball of stress and anxiety right now but I'm sure it'll be fine once I get into the swing of things...
And, Ericka, I can not wait to check out that new froyo place! Yum! We must get together for coffee soon... I'll email you when I'm back in the office. I want to hear about your travels (Phila trip looked fun!) and other stuff! :-)

oh no! i hope you work out the issues with the daycare. i am sure it will be a little adjustment for you after not going to work for 6 months but things will work out fine.
so we drove past the froyo place tonight and i took a good look inside. it's a self serve froyo place! i know some places have these (i've been to two in Oahu) but this is the first that i have seen in DC. i was doing my happy dance when i saw it lol. depending on how cold it is tomorrow i may walk over and check it out. check out this link:
