How is everyone today? I'm fabulous! It's my last day at my current job and I can't wait to turn in my blackberry and laptop (AKA my leashes) and have all of next week off with Declan!

I'm doing great! Can't wait to get out of here and enjoy my weekend.
I'm fairly cranky now - my morning had started off pretty good. (It's Friday,.. what can ruin that, right?!)
MH is sick again - he's had a horrible headache since yesterday afternoon, and was nauseous all last night. He's also in "work mode" meaning our communication is shoddy and he just goes until he collapses at night.
Oh, and the bonus that was supposed to be deposited today? (The one we had earmarked to pay for brakes on the Focus today?) Not deposited today. According to his boss, it'll be there next week or the following. (Meaning the following because they get paid every other week and no way will payroll deposite it on an off week.)
Good morning! Apparently a crisis erupted while I was off yesterday and I wound up working from home and having to come in today.
Paula, I can't believe that! Did they say why it wasn't deposited?
Speaking of deposits, I need to run down to the builder today and give him another check...I'm glad you reminded me b/c I'd already forgotten.

Nope. They always pull this BS. I'm REALLY hoping that now that his company is bought out, the next corporate giant at least starts doing something about their crap-tastic payroll system. Apparently 8 weeks isn't enough to calculate the bonuses from the END OF 2009 and have them directly deposited into accounts.
Oh boy! Now I can't wait to deal with this crap with my paycheck Paula!
Yours might be different; Greg works on commission, remember? So it's all "If you sell 100 of this product, you get X% commission. But if you sell 75 of this product, you get Y% commission." So when you sell 4 different brands, with about 5 different layers of sales commission amongst them, it's a bit more complicated.
But EIGHT WEEKS?! Really?!

That's true. I forgot about his commission piece. I agree 8 weeks is a long time...but with my current company IF we get bonuses it's 4 months after the fiscal year ends. Really? Doesn't matter since we haven't gotten a bonus in years anyway!
