I just sat down for the overwhelming task of trying to choose my 7 photos for Real Weddings. I have about 1300 photos. Of those I have hardly ANY detail shots and the ones I like I'm not really happy with... I feel like I could have done alot better. ~sigh~
I guess I hired my gal with her people photography skills in mind because that's really what I wanted, not photos for Real Weddings. I'm sure I'll find 7 but it's going to be harder than I thought.
Re: ~sigh~
Aw, cheer up Millie. Some of my favorite weddings wouldn't be considered picture-perfect "My Real Weddings" quality. Don't feel like your wedding has to conform to the industrial The Knot standards... hopefully I don't get banned for TK blasphemy.
One of my fave bloggers posted her wedding pics in My Real Weddings just for the hell of it. She didn't have a professional photog at all- she asked 3 good friends to share the duties. Her wedding is one of my absolute faves. Check it out:

And P.S.- they spent $2,000 total on their wedding. Are their photos perfect? No, but her wedding was really cool. Her blog is http://2000dollarwedding.com.
You're right... I'm being silly. The most important things to me were the people at the wedding and the significance of the day. All of the DYI projects and fun things were the least important. So if I don't have photos of them, it's OK!
Thanks!
P.S. That wedding is so amazing. I think my photographer friend who did our engagement and post wedding shots has been watching that blog for ideas for her wedding this summer because some of the shots look familiar.

I got over my insecurities or regrets or whatever the problem was pretty fast last night. Just posted some of my favorite shots.
I don't expect to win... I just want to share my amazing day with as many people as will look.
