How do you walk in heels so that they don't make noise (clack)?  I sound so noisy walking through the halls in my school and I know not every woman does.  :)

  • Are you clopping or clicking?  Because I actually like the clop - makes me feel powerful.  I usually achieve that by doing the Giselle - long, quick strides without a lot of heel-toe rolling, more just flat foot down.  Also gets me places quicker, which is always a plus.

If you're clicking, though, look at the bottom of the heels to see if you can see any of the metal of the heal poking through.  This happens when you wear through the heel.   You can take it to a cobbler to get it fixed.  Should cost $5-$10.

If you're clopping but don't want to, take smaller strides, more heel to toe, and walk softer.
