OH! You guys are going to be proud.
So yall know I smoke - well with the surgery I was told that I will not heal completely or quickly if I keep smoking. So I asked for Chantix. I started on Wednesday with a quit date of 2/24 the day of my surgery! Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers for one getting through the surgery well and quitting this nasty habit. My family doctor had given me this drug a long time ago, but I never took it. She asked me why and I said well the side effects scared me. My doctor looked at me and said have you read the side effects of smoking? GREAT point doc. So maybe this will come out with something good.

Me Squeshia.
Re: OH! You guys are going to be proud.
Yay Squeesh! I'm rooting for you
I hope everything goes well with the surgery. I'll definitely keep you in my thought next week.
Yay Squeesh!!! You can do it! I hate to say breaking your leg was a good thing, but if you quit smoking. . .
Good luck with it!
I *AM* proud of you!
You go girl!
I really hope the Chantix works for you... the side effects might be sort of nasty at first, but the end result will save you tons of money and add years to your life, so it's totally worth it.
DH and I quit smoking a little over 2 years ago and it was the best thing we have ever done... I really hope this works out for you.
I'll be thinking of you and sending you good vibes for quitting smoking and for your surgery.
Keep us updated, please
.
Thanks ladies! No side effects - not that I know of yet. I think it is just the smoking industry trying to keep ppl away from quitting. I hope I do - I CAN DO IT.
Don't you love when doctors point out the obvious, haha.
I'm proud of you for just trying it! Just don't get discouraged with the side effects or even if it doesn't happen as quickly as you want!
PS. I've been busy this week and TOTALLY missed the post about what happened to you, from that siggy pic it doesn't look good, is there at least a good story to go along with it?
You know I ALWAYS have good stories!! Scroll down to my post "My weekend in pictures"
Ouch, that sounded painful and the sight of your toes facing you had to scare the sh*t out of you! I'm sorry.
On the other hand, I don't believe you "slipped on the boardwalk" chica. I know better than that, be honest...it was Valentine's Day and you promised DH some "special" sexy time which is where it all went down, am I right?
You know me too well
Good luck!
And, LOL at what your doctor said about the side effects!

I will keep you informed of any side effects I may have. So far so good though. But tell him what my doctor told me maybe that will get him to thinking. It's hard to quit something you like doing - but it is so totally worth it.
