Restaurant week help needed

We are definitely going to Pazzo. But I want to go to a steak place too because I love steak. Which do you like better  Capital Grille (been there) Ruth Cris ( Have not been there) or McCormick and Schmicks (been there a while ago)  or are there any other places for steak that you can suggest. Thanks!

Re: Restaurant week help needed

  • Out of those, I would recommend Ruth's Chris. It's in a great location (the old city hall) and it has a great bar area and character.

I'm trying to figure out where to go too; some place that I haven't been yet. My birthday is during that time, so I think it would be fun for DH and I to do. :-)

  • I vote Ruth Chris.  I have only been to the DC location, but I loved it!  The other two are great choices too, but my fave it Ruth Chris. Enjoy!

  • I haven't been during Restaurant Week, but The Oak Room served me the best steak of my life when we went last year. It was incredible.

  • Thanks I will check out the Oak Room and Ruth Cris. My bday is the week before we have alot of March babies on the Boston Board.

  • I think I may follow suit! I've been to Ruth's Chris but only for a reception, never dinner, so I think we may try that! Plus DH loves simple food and he loooves steak. Everywhere else seemed either very fancy, or some place we've already eaten.
  • Can someone explain Restaurant Week to me? I'm new to the area, and this sounds right up our alley...
  • Ruth's Chris is really good, but I like Capital Grille much better. My H and I went on a steakhouse tour about 2 years ago, we tried to go to every one within a 2 year time span. It was amazing! We just closed it out with Abe and Louie's last weekend.

Restaurant Week in Boston happens twice a year (March and August) and most restaurants in the city will offer $15 prix-fixe lunch and/or $30 prix-fixe dinner. It gives a chance for people to try different restaurants that they may not be able to otherwise. Upscale restaurants participate (i.e. No.9 Park, Mistral) so it's alot of fun to have a nice dinner out and not break the bank.

  • Capital Grille is awesome.  McCormick & Shmicks is delish too but they are focused more on seafood.  I wouldn't recommend them for a steak.  Too bad there is no Flemming's - They served me THE BEST filet I've ever had in my life in Orlando.

I love Flemings too! Too bad they're not participating. Confused But they do have this from now until March 29th: http://www.flemingssteakhouse.com/enewsletter-february/winter-prix-fixe.aspx !

  • Is Metropolitan Cafe in Newton doing RW? I took DH there for a birthday and he loved their steak!
  • Out of all the steak restaurants I like Capital Grille best.  H likes Ruths Chris better though...so we actually just went there last week.  It is really good, and I have ate at Ruths Chris in several other states and have always got a decent meal.

    Thank you so much!

  • I made reservations at Sportello's for DH and I, we're really excited. It's right in our neighborhood and we haven't tried it yet. My birthday is the 19th so we're doing dinner at our favorite place down the Cape and then we'll do Sportello's to continue the fun.

Wow, there are a lot of March birthday's on here! I'm the 18th!

I looove Sportello! That's right behind the hotel I work at.

  • I really like Fleming's, but that's not on your list!  If I had to choose from the ones you have, I would go Ruth Chris.

     Yum!  Steak!
