Ali Progress Report Requested
Have you gotten your to-do list done with the week off, or did you spend it recouporating from gestating?

Re: Ali Progress Report Requested
Ummmm.....
I have been super lazy this week. I have been extraordinarily tired lately. I am getting some of the planning done today (and did work on it a little bit during the week), along with some of the cleaning. The problem with cleaning is that I feel like I have run a marathon after sweeping one room.
Nothing in the baby's room has been done. The beadboard needs to be painted, and it has been ready to be painted since November. I am over the argument and I am too big to hunch down and paint the beadboard now myself. I should have done it in December like I said I was going to. I am depressed about the nursery b/c we don't have enough money to have a glider/ottoman or a dresser for the baby. So all we have is a crib, which I know it's all the baby needs, it just makes me sad because it's not at all what I had imagined to begin with, and I had my hopes up, and now it doesn't look like it is going to happen. I guess the pregnancy emotions that are making me more sad about it than I should be.
Our room is too small for a dresser, so we're not using one. I'm a little nervous that there won't be enough room for a rocker/glider. Have you checked freecycle and craigslist?
ETA: I just checked out your registry and saw the furniture there, smart lady. Maybe you'll get enough gift cards to off set the cost of one or the other. I'm also proud, (if I may use that word) of you staying fiscally prudent and not charging a bunch of stuff because you "have to have it" and can't pay cash for it.
I stalk craigslist non-stop. So far no such luck. I am hoping my luck will come through and I will find something.
Yeah, I am not a "charger." I will save up for stuff so that I can buy it out right. I will also wait until I find a killer sale to make it an even better deal.
I hadn't thought about gift cards and applying it towards a dresser or glider. And, I think if it is on the registry, I may get some other percentage off. I don't know why I hadn't thought of that before - you're super smart
. It's all looking up, I can make this work.
