Watching Mad Money

Jim Cramer is in favor of the bailout.

O'Reilly is, too.  (not that I trust his perspective, but I acknowledge his influence.)

It's interesting that the support seems to be widespread, albeit through gritted teeth.  I'm wondering on whose advice McCain is basing his rejection of the plan.  Hopefully he's talking to some economic advisors and not just objecting because it sounds fishy to him.

  • I heart Jim Cramer! Is he freaking out about tomorrow?

  • He seemed pretty sure the bailout (not sure which "version" he was referring to) will be passed, and seemed relatively calm about it.  Key phrase, relatively, of course. It was probably taped from earlier, though.

  • I think what the big argument is the details of the plans rather than a rejection of the bailout.

However, I also heard Newt Gringich last night say something about a possible loan out plan rather than a bail out plan. I was falling asleep so I admit to not being clear on the details and if I wasn't running out the door to bring a friend to the hospital this morning for a procedure I would do some more research on this loan out proposal. Maybe someone will discuss here later this morning.
