Does Vince Vaughn Annoy Anyone Else?
*finally* saw Couple's Retreat last night. Wasn't all that impressed. I feel like VV's schtick is growing quite tiresome. Of course, one of his lines also made me laugh the hardest in the whole movie too. Does anyone else have thought either way on VV?

I feel like his monologues are just kind of over the top, they go on and on and on...reminds me of some of the overacted lines on Grey's--like ok--we know you all have the same writers, but everyone talks the same and repeats their lines with the same intonations...IDK, I am being picky, but I was expecting the movie to blow me away and my H and I were both like "eh."
However, bright spot of the movie~Carlos Ponce may be my new celeb crush!!

I don't find him annoying, but I do find him overrated. I hear lots of "Oh, he's so hilarious!" and "Oh, he's so wonderful!" and in everything I've ever seen him in I've thought "He's okay I guess, but _________ would probably do better." (Blank varies depending on which movie I'm watching at the time.)
I think the ONLY exception to my above statement is the movie *Swingers*.

so funny you bring this up. I was watching TV the other day with my brother and husband and I said, "I don't want to see that movie, Vince Vaughn annoys the shitttt out of me."
So that's my answer. I agree completely with a PP saying that he's very predictable.
ITA. I've never seen Swingers so I can't speak to that one but I really don't think he's anything special. A coworker's BFF is dating his BFF so we can't bring him up at work without a big name dropping routine. That annoys me as much if not more than his acting.
