So, how was everyone's weekend?
I was starting to feel sick and went to bed each night around 7:30... We had the kids, so I wasn't feeling really bad til Sunday-fortunately, I wasn't hacking like I am today...
Fri-met with a trainer (got some good insite as to what I'm doing/not doing), watched Olympics, played games.
Sat-worked on my chairs, games, Olympics, crashed and burned several times...
Sun-again with the chairs, DH and I built a bunk bed ladder, made some adorable American Girl Doll treats (See pic)-
These are made with Cheerios! So Tiny! This was a riot to do... I made the 'box' from an index card. (poor girl needs a mani and we need a new countertop-love the gold dots!)
and crashed and burned again...
Re: **Weekend**
Lori- those AG treats are adorable! Hope you feel better soon!
Fri- went to see Grease...was really good! Could have done without Taylor Hicks in it (and his impromptu performance when the show ended to promote his new cd. I'm not a fan of his), but all in all it was a nice night out.
Sat- got our taxes done (fun, fun LOL) and spent the day with my parents. Got to celebrate Bella's birthday a few days early (she'll be 8 later this week), and it was lots of fun to watch her open her bday gift.
Sun- grocery shopping. Ugh, our washing machine is broken. Found that out the hard way when running a load of wash. Won't be able to have someone out to look at it until next week (luckily I can just do laundry at my parents in the meantime!). I don't know if at this point I want to repair it or just get something new. We'll see what the diagnosis is next week and make a decision.
I LOVE those little AG doll treats! I love everything that is littler than it is supposed to be so this is right up my alley.
My weekend was good. Went to see "Up in the Air" friday night, loved it.
Saturday we cleaned and got ready for my mom and step dad coming over for dinner, which was delicious by the way.
Sunday, more cleaning, watched some Olympics, and studied for my test that is today.
Friday- I went and met my parents in Tupelo to eat with them and then they came back to our house to spend the night to go with us to the race.
Saturday- The race was AWESOME!!!! I was not great and even made a huge dent in DH's car but he totally didn't care. I was about to cry about it and he was excited that his wife was drifting and put a dent in his car...lol. As long as he's happy about it I guess.
Here is a video of a few cars I think DH's car is in there a few times but I can't tell who's driving, me or him.

And here I am drifting.

Sunday- We went to church. then I fixed lunch for us and a couple that are friends of ours. DH and C went to help another guy move. Me and M stayed and played Band Hero!! hehe
Friday I drove in the snow to pick up the boy child. Got stuck behind 2 plows and was late...
Saturday we got up early and went to an auction in St. Francis. We figured with the snow, it wouldn't be well attended. We were wrong. I was amazed at what some things went for (like a folding card table with only 3 chairs for $75, 40 year old chest freezer for $200). We managed to get a few things, but honestly, nothing we couldn't have lived without. Went to lunch and came home. Went over to the new house to measure the space for the fridge and stove, and so Redneck could see it. We're so not ready to move, but I can't wait to be in that house!
I woke up with a migraine Sunday. Redneck and the boy cooked breakfast, and then Redneck made homemade chicken and noodles which we ate for the rest of the day. Took the boy back to meet his dad, got home and watched Axe Men.
My weekend wasn't bad, can't really complain.
Friday night we hung out in the house...I think, wow that's sad that I don't remember Friday night.
Saturday I had to take my car for its 25,000 mile maintenance, then I took it for a wash, so now she's lookin' fab, until the next snow storm. Came home, hung around for a bit till it was time to go to our friends house. I hung out there, then M showed up around 6:30pm. He had to work that day and then he took a 3 hour nap when he got home.
We all went to dinner at Fuddruckers then went back to their house and just hung out and watched a couple movies, we went home around 4:30am.
Yesterday, we slept in until 11:00am due to our being out till the butt crack of the monkey's @ss the night before. After we got ourselves together we went to lunch then went to Best Buy because a Halo movie came out and M just had to have it so when we got home I got stuck watching that boring crap. We babysat our niece last night while her 'rents went on a dinner date. Oh and while we were out during the day we stopped at FIL's store to have a chat about MIL. I think she's killing me with anxiety, seriously. I've been waking up EVERY morning for the past week with a wave of nausea that suddenly hits me at some point then goes away after a few minutes...it's horrible.
Now today is back to the grind, and I wish I were in bed.
Oh sweetie join the club. I know how your feelin'. My washer has been broke for a week, and we have a perfectly fine washer at our shop that DH has been "meaning" to get and then he thinks he can fix our washer but it doesn't work soooo DH says his Gran said we could come over there and wash so we wouldn't have go to the Laundry mat but.... I would have rather went to the laundry mat...UGH!!! She stood over me the whole time, like I don't konw how to wash clothes.
*Vent moved to new post*
I had a lazy @$$ weekend.
Friday night I went to yoga and then we watched "Yes Man" and ate popcorn and drank wine. I thought it was a really funny/cute movie! Then at like 10:30 we went over to one of M's friends house and played dice ... lol.
Saturday we ran errands, planned a trip to Vegas for end of March, and the I went to one of my friend's birthday parties at a bar. It was like a huge college reunion ... one of those nights where everybody is there but you feel like you didn't really talk to anybody.
Yesterday I dragged M out of bed early to go to brunch at this place by our house. I was having a good hair day so I wanted to go out in public! In the afternoon, my little brother down to the city we went to this awful neighborhood improv show, and we watched "cant hardly wait" -- he had never seen it! It was a classic when I was in high school and he had never even heard of it. Last night M and I played Yahtzee and talked about how we both think I'm getting laid off this week. (separate post to come!)
Ahhhh the weekend. Never long enough.
Friday night we laid low. We took Ladmo to his very first dog park. He looooved it! And all the other dog owners went nuts over him. I know he is cute, but come on...every where we go he gets so much attention, hes not that great LOL but now he thinks he is.
Saturday I had to work. One of my friends came in to look at invites which was fun! The rest of the brides I had were coming in and their weddings are in like MAY! Ummm hello did you just realize you are getting married?!!?!? GAH
Sunday I took everything out of the fridge and pantry wiped it all out and reorganized it. Then did all the grocery shopping. For dinner I made Calzons! I will post a blog later today!
First off, I know what you mean about showing off your good hair day, you can't waste those days inside! LOL!
Second, DH and I were just talking about this movie on friday and I was telling him how it was HUGE when I was a senior in highschool, it kind of defined my summer before senior year (I also listened to the soundtrack way too much), DH has never seen it either but he is 8 years older than me so it think it was only big for a small age group.
Yikes! I hope not!
This weekend was fun.
Friday: We had friends over and spent the night catching up, playing games, and watching the Olympics
Saturday: DH and I went to Charlotte to go to the Discovery Place. It was fun but filled with tons of kids!! We still enjoyed it, but won't be going back soon. Then we stopped to get my favorite meal to-go on the way home. We ate and watched anime together the rest of the night.
Sunday: We ran some errands. Then we worked on the business -- ordering bags and finalizing everything.
Lori, hope you feel better soon!
I had a pretty low key weekend...
Friday - Ordered pizza and watched Couples Retreat.
Saturday - Dropped Roxie off at the groomer, went grocery shopping and baby shower in the afternoon for a friend. When I got home DH decided he was going to cook us up some philly cheesesteaks that ended up being super yummy. I had some wine, he had some beers and we both passed out on the couch with the dogs.
Sunday - I cooked breakfast then we layed on the couch and watched Surrogates. I didn't expect to like it but I really did. Last night, my son was feeling better so we went to Border Cafe for some tex mex.
Lori - those treats are so adorable!
Friday - I made chicken tortilla soup and we watched Beyond a Reasonable Doubt
Saturday - Was going to get my oil changed but found out the place closed at noon and I got there at 12:30. Did some Sam's Club shopping instead and then we met friends for dinner and went to their place to play cards
Sunday - Made my DH a birthday card. He turns the big 40 on Wednesday. We went to see the movie From Paris With Love. I made spinach mushroom calzones for dinner and we watched the Olympics.
