VS clothing question

Anyone buy clothing from VS?  I am curious as to how it holds up and how the sizing is.  I've found some tops that I really like but wanted some opinions before I purchased!  TIA for the help

Re: VS clothing question

  • I have three pairs of yoga pants from there, and four sweaters. They're all quite comfortable and have held up well over the past couple years.
  • I buy a lot of clothes from them... I find that the lingerie runs a bit small, so if I order a large, it feels like a medium. I think that might be because I'm sort of top heavy... that's also why I haven't had much luck with their tops :(.

*Love* their pants though... their pants run a bit big so I usually order a size smaller than my norm when I order their pants.

Their customer service is *awesome* and every time I've had to return something because it didn't fit, I just put it in the package and stick the return label on it and my account is credited within a few days. They send you a return label with the shipment, so you don't even have to call them if you want to return something. Pretty convenient :)

Everything I've ordered from them, with the exception of ONE pair of jeans, has held up really well.

  • How does the quality compare with say, Old Navy?

I love Old Navy... I usually buy my jeans from them. However, I think the material that VS uses (for tops) is better quality than most of the things you buy from Old Navy.

As much as I love Old Navy, I noticed that their tops stretch a lot after just a few wears and they fade really fast. The material doesn't seem to be that high quality... which is understandable because they don't cost too much.

I find that VS tops (the ones that fit me lol) last a lot longer than Old Navy and keep better after going through the wash.

This is the same problem I have been having with my ON tops too.  I think the quality of their tshirts has gone way down (boo!) and I found some really cute ones on VS so it looks like I will do my spring shopping there instead :)

  • Old Navy has really gone down hill IMO.  The quality is horrible to the point I don't buy anything from that store anymore!  VS tops and pants I think run pretty true to size.  Swimsuits and lingerie run small.  Their coats are also pretty true to size.  I think the quality is very good for all that they sell.  The only thing about their tops are it seems when I get them they are much lower cut than I originally thought...most I can't wear to work (too much cleavage!)

  • I got some sweaters from them last winter and think the sizing is pretty true to fit. I got them for $10/apiece and for the price I didn't expect much in the way of quality, but they are pretty nice - not the most flattering, but it's ribbed cotton and I think that's just how it goes w/ that fabric. I'd buy from them again and ditto to AT that their returns are really easy to process and whenever I've spoken on the phone with anyone they've been really helpful.
  • omg, I was going through their website, and couldn't resist sharing the "essential bodysuit"

  • i've bought several things from them in the past and have been very pleased with the quality.  IMO the shirts are way better quality than ON.
