The Office - we have no discussion for this??? **spoilers possible**
Did I miss the thread?? Did we discuss last night's premiere yet???
I thought it was pretty good. Not the best episode ever, but still funny.
I am having a really hard time dealing with Amy Ryan as the new HR lady, though -- I cannot see her as anybody but Beadie on The Wire.

AGreed. It was good but not dying-of-laughter-tears-rolling-down-my-face funny like it usually is.

Loved the engagement! SO freakin awesome. And the booty calls.
I think the funniest moment was Oscar giving Holly a hard time about "Im a lesbian" and that wasnt really that funny. LOVED ryan getting shot down when he asked whatshername out!
I love her as the HR lady. She's hilarious.
BTW, add to the title that the thread has spoilers - I too want to discuss it.
I really didn't like it! I don't really like the hour long episodes. I didn't laugh once. And I'm probably the only person that thinks this, but I'm over Pam/Jim. ***SPOILER*** I knew he was going to propose by the end of the episode, so it didn't even feel like a nice surprise to me.
I have hope next week will be better!
The proposal was so, so romantic and perfect! The rain, the gas station! I loved it. I actually kind of swooned and got teary.
I feel so bad for Andy :-(
I thought the engagement was anti-climatic. I agree the episode wasn't LOL funny, but I still love that show.
Oh wait, I did LOL at Michael talking to Jan's belly "you don't know who your daddy is, do you?!"
I loved the engagement too - I thought it was the best part of the episode.
Poor Andy! And poor Phyllis - I can't wait to see what happens with Dwight. I have a feeling Dwight and Angela are going to get outed very, very soon.
Yes! I LOLed at that too.
And poor Toby... poor guy can't catch a break.
Hm it's funny that some of you didn't like it as much as usual, because I thought it was way better than it had been. It was hilarious--I totally LOL-ed when dwight kicked over the cake. I feel like they're getting back to the good old Office, rather than last season, which was crap. I didnt like last season because there were too many over-the-top plot points all the time... for example, the ep where they drove the car into the lake. WTF. Back to hilarity in the mundane =
.
And anyone notice that dude from Mad Men (whose name I forget, sorry)?
I thought it was funny that Michael shows up with a goatee with no explanation, then later on Ryan asks about it and you get it. I also liked Phyllis finally clawing her way to the top of the party planning committee via blackmail.
I'm glad the new HR woman is giving Michael a new direction for his character. He's kind of getting smooth, but he's still breaking out a fat suit (loved HR lady's side eyes to the camera). And then tearing up the tickets when he ALMOST had a date in the bag. Loved it.
"As of page 2 this might be the most boring argument ever. It's making me long for Rape Day." - Mouse
I really liked this episode. ?A lot more than some of last season's.
A few LOL moments for me...Andy's remark about wanting good abs for the first time Angela sees him naked, Andy seeing the "ella ella" part of "Umbrella" to Ang"ela", Kelly's "I hate this tapeworm inside me!" ?Kelly is always my favorite.
I really like Amy Ryan as Holly. ?
And Harry Crane from Mad Men looks a lot different without his glasses and a bunch of gel in his hair.?
I love Kelly too - when she told Ryan about Darryl and was like "we're like CRAZY in love." hilarious.
I loved last night's ep... the proposal was so sweet! And Stanley was cute, too. I like the new HR woman, but I'm not sure where they're going with her and Michael.
