So I did it! I signed up for the etools on Wednesday morning. I then decided to have a last supper with my husband that night of my favorite food (pizza and french fries!). We ordered from Anna's in Waltham (best pizza in town!) and I felt horrible. It completely motivated me to stick to this plan so Thursday I was great and today I have everything measured out, points calculated and I'm ready to go!
I can do this!
Re: Weight Watchers Update
I've been on the program since January and have had weight loss, except for last week when I gained less than half a pound. Not a lot, but still a gain. But at least I know why! My long weekend was bad when it came to food and I thought that I had counted well, and even though I used pretty much all of my extra 35 points, I still had the slight gain.
That didn't disuade me though; just made me do better. I even went out to dinner last night to Post 390 (home of the beer and bacon Mac and Cheese) and didn't eat the bread, drank a lot of water, had only 1 bud light (2 points) and had a 4oz steak and only 10 french fries. And I didn't feel deprived! The next weigh in is next Tuesday so I'm crossing my fingers!
Good luck christy!! You can definitely do this!!
I started with the etools on Wednesday as well and so far, so good. I've been logging everything, gone to the gym and I feel really motivated as well. I've been watching my portion sizes too. I'm considering getting a food scale for the kitchen..do you use one? I don't know if it will make a significant difference or not.
I'm psyched to find someone else starting at the same time as me
)
We'll rock it, no worries!
That's great Laina! The beer and bacon mac at 390 is AMAZING! My girlfriend got it once when we went there and all 3 of us just kept stealing from her plate!
I have some downtime today so I'm gonna scour the WW website for recipes for the week so I can be prepared.
Rock, I'll definitely share my success (and failures!). It's good motivation knowing I have to tell people if I lost or gained!
I've done WW in the past and recently started up again. Here's a blog that I absolutely LOVE - the recipes are sooo good and she calculates the points for you!
