Anyone know anything about Toppers salon?

Have you been? Are they busy? Do they have a good reputation? Thanks!

Re: Anyone know anything about Toppers salon?

  • Dh got me a spa package there as a part of my wedding present. I had never heard of them before but my SIL who is a massage therapist in Florida said they had a great reputation, and recognized the name right away.

I called about 3 weeks ahead of time to schedule my Saturday appointment and they were able to accomodate all the services back to back with no problems. On the day of, it was quite busy, with bridal parties and regular clients, but the day still ran smoothly. I enjoyed the day, but I wouldn't go back unless another gift was purchased for me, because 1 - it's pricey, 2- it's a little far for me, and 3 - I've had better massages elsewhere.

    HTH!

  • I've heard mixed things about this place, but I've never been personally.

I used to work for a salon product distribution company, so we supplied Toppers with all their Redken stuff and other brands. Their salesperson always said that they were overpriced, but somehow they maintained a DECENT reputation that keeps their gift card sales through the roof.

Personally, I would try another place, but I don't think Toppers is a bad option either.

  • A few months before my wedding, SIL and I had a girly day and wanted massages and facials.  We waited till the last minute to find a place and toppers was the only one that could accomodate us.  I wasn't too impressed with the facial, and I have definetly had better massages.  Also, I don't mind paying for good services, but their prices are way high compared to other salons.  I enjoy Rizzeri a lot better.  I have had many facials and massages there.
  • I've heard good things about Rizzeri. Not sure if you're near Mullica Hill, but In the Village is great - that's where I go for massages, facials, and pedicures.

When I lived on the Main Line I went to Toppers a couple times - mainly for pedicures and waxing. It's nice, but I agree - overpriced.

  • Thanks guys, I was actually wondering about them with regard to working there so I was curious what their reputation was like. I tried looking for reviews online and they sounded pretty mixed.
