Confessions

Since there is nothing else going on...

I confess:

That I bought a pregnancy test on Thursday because my period was 1 day late, wishful thinking since I just went off the pill last month.  Then I got my period for 2 days on Saturday... not normal for me... so I'm contemplating taking the test even though I'm pretty sure its a waste of a test and my cycle is probably just screwed up because of going off the pill.

And I confess that I ate 4 lemon bars last night... I cut them small but still...

Re: Confessions

  • I confess that I am telling my boss that I'm overloaded with work, yet I've stared at the muttcam for at least 20 minutes already today.

  • I confess that I'm scared to go home! I leave in10 minutes and this is the first time in my life I've had to drive in snow, slush (but hopefully no ice!).
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

You'll be ok... just dont accelerate or brake suddenly and leave plenty of space between you and other cars.

  • I confess that there are 29 hrs (who's counting?) before our buyers do their walk thru and I'm going to be pushing it to get the house emptied and cleaned.  Am right on track to finish tonight...but have a very sore back that is prone to pulled muscles so will have to take it slow.  Am praying my back holds out till I'm done.  Am praying even more that the help I have lined up won't bail on me.

I confess that although I care about my job, its hard to get motivated with so much going on on the homefront.  Not knowing if I'll even have a job in a few months if we move isn't helping.

I confess that those lemon bars sound good.

  • Hawkilady-are you ttc?

Here's my mean one: I think that there should be size restrictions to some types of clothing.  Leggings do not look good on everyone.

We aren't really ttc but not tta either, if it happens, we'll both be ecstatic but we're not in a hurry.

And I 100% agree with your confession as well.

  • Leggings in general?  Or leggings being worn as pants?

I'm plus size and when I wear leggings it's with a knee length skirt.  I wear them because they're warm.

  • I confess that I have a novel I'm supposed to read by tomorrow, a pile of essays to grade, and a thesis chapter due to my committee by Saturday.....and I'm on The Nest/Facebook/etc.

I confess that I'm hoping it rains on Friday so I can skip a training walk this week. It's terrible, I know, but I'd rather work on my scrapbook!

  • I confess I am trying to come up with any and all ways to screw over the sellers of the house Paul and I are buying.

They've really, really pissed me off the last couple of days. Tomorrow is the signing of our P&S, so I am trying to come up with anything to add to it to screw them over. If anyone has any recommendations, please bring them to the table.

Leggings as pants. I don't see anything wrong with wearing them with knee length skirts.

Haha no need to hide your blog, you look just fine in your leggings!

  • I confess that the leggings thing does not bother me nearly as much as the short skirts I have seen lately.  It's 30+ degrees for a few days and hemlines skyrocket.  We're in the Midwest - not the Middle East - put the camels away!  And PS. tights are not pants.

I confess that I love my friend dearly but I'm really having second thoughts about having her help me pack tonight.  I can use the help but she is so anal retentive and I'm much more relaxed.  We're moving less than 4 miles away so as long as it is somewhat organized and doesn't break, I couldn't care less.

I am also nervous as hell about the interview I had for a promotion this morning.  I think it went pretty well and I did receive an email for me to take some assesments as the next step but it is the step after that I am really hoping for.

That's exciting, I am not quite ready for that step!

Okay, I hate to do this, but I need to get a little soap-boxey on this one. I don't think these types of comments are fair at all. If a woman, no matter her size, wants to wear something then she should be able to without being judged that she's not skinny enough. This country has unrealistic standards and every woman I know has body image issues because of it. As long as she's dressed tastefully and doesn't look like a street walker, I think a woman should allowed to wear whatever the heck she wants.

For my confession: Bossman and Coworker are out of the office today, so I'm watching YouTube makeup tutorials by TiffanyD. I think I'm going to try her Beyonce Grammy look this weekend. I probably will look like a street walker, but I'm going for it anyway!

  • I love you Chrissy! I also love TiffanyD.  Her double winged Kim Kardashian eye mystifies me.

What did they do?  Sorry if I missed a post.  Being on the flip-side of the coin has me curious.

Haha it's amazing what a little warm weather will do.

That's in my top three, but I'm terrified of it! I should probably try it one of these evenings when I'm just hanging out at home. Forte would definitely tell me if I screwed it up.

I'm also loving the flirty pink V-day makeup. It makes me feel like I can do any bold color and rock it. In the past, I've done bold colors and didn't realize that I failed at the application until I saw pictures later. That'll make you feel good about yourself!
